Today we’d like to introduce you to King Aiden
Hi King, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My story has always involved music! I started playing drums, then piano, guitar, bass, baritone, alto saxophone, was in drumline in high school and also did jazz band. I have had meetings at Warner Music Group in Nashville, TN, with a producer at 16 years old that sent me The Abbott Agency for 2 years of artist development. I then landed a music video I am in on TobyMac’s “Feel It” song that has over 36 million views.
After that, I landed as a cast member as a Soundcheck PA role on the tv show “Nashville” that is now on Freeform and Hulu today.
I now am an independent music artist and producer under the stage name, “King Aiden”. I am also a signed and SAG-AFTRA eligible actor, and am in the modeling industry with Advantage Talent Agency in Nashville, TN, making new waves in the entertainment business as the only black transman doing all this in the world! I always encourage minorities to be a part of my art and love to give back! So that is how I got here today. Doing music since 4th grade on the drums, then high school band, artist development, and one on one producing classes. I write 100% of my songs.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s a smooth road at times, and there are struggles along the way, absolutely. I highly believe it’s how you come up from your struggles and mistakes. It actually says a lot about a person. If you actually try and try to come up, no matter how much you get knocked down, it makes you stronger. I call that in my eyes a king or queen! That’s where my stage name “King Aiden” came from. I’ve conquered my battles like a king and I try to teach and show people what I’ve learned along the way so they don’t have to go through what I have, or make the same mistakes; that anyone can be the king or queen of their own life and conquer their battles and pursue their dreams!

What I do is make music and song-write from scratch and share my journey through life in lyrics! I play instruments, can produce, and strive to have not one song sound the same, or I will get bored with doing the same sounds over and over. I’m very versatile when it comes to music, acting, and modeling.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
For those just starting out, try to remain independent as long as you possibly can. It will work out better for you in the long run and you’ll get the money you deserve without giving up any ownership of your music or giving up any type of creative control.
