Meet Kim Nguyen of Sisters Nails Spa in Sherman Oaks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Nguyen.

Kim, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My sisters (3 of them!) and I started our business in late 2015. We wanted to start our own salon after working many years for others. My sisters are a very talented technician; our customers love their work! They love our work so much that they posted over 100 Yelp reviews within the first 12 months of our business starting. Our business is doing well due to how we treat our customers. We feel that by treating our customers to the best of our ability, our business will succeed on its own. We provide a clean and relaxing environment for our customers.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Initially, it started out slow in the first few months. We didn’t have a customer base when we started the nail salon. As we gained new customers and they spread words to their friends of our business, everything fell into place. It was a smooth ride from then on. We are thankful to our customers; a lot of new clients are through words of mouth.

Please tell us about Sisters Nails Spa.
Sisters Nails Spa is a nail/wax salon. We are known to have very talented technicians. We are most proud of how much our customers love our work! Over 100+ of our customers took the time to write a review in Yelp expressing their positive experience with us. What sets us apart is that we are a family business. The majority of our staff are family members. We are all in it together and take great care to treat our customers with a great experience.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Everything went as smooth as we can hope.
