Meet Khalil Rafati of Sunlife Organics in Malibu

Today we’d like to introduce you to Khalil Rafati.

Khalil, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
In 2003 I woke up in a rehab, homeless, penniless and as far as I knew fucked for life. I was 33 years old, a high school dropout, and a convicted felon so things weren’t looking so promising. It was a long hard road out of hell and if anyone is that interested in the details they can read my book “I forgot to die” found on amazon. After working four jobs for three years straight I opened my first business in 2007. I sold that business and saved money I had made from investments in gold and silver. I opened Sunlife organics in 2011. We were very successful right out the gate and our numbers inclined pretty steadily.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My life has been anything but a smooth road but as far as Sunlife Organics goes, yeah, we had the typical crazy ups and downs, losses, partners, etc. but for the most part it has been one great, fantastic, dream come true.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Sunlife Organics – what should we know?
Sunlife organics has a worldwide following and the largest celebrity following I know of, of any brand. We are primarily a juice bar and smoothie shop but we serve all other made to order items too. Our products are not the only thing we deliver, we deliver happiness to our customers. I am most proud of the superior service that we deliver and that is what sets us apart. We are authentic, this is what we do. I’m not trying to sell you anything, this is who I am.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I don’t know about qualities or characteristics my only real talent is that I just don’t quit, I never get up, I never ever, ever give up.
