Meet Khalia Taylor of Rapper Weed

Today we’d like to introduce you to Khalia Taylor.

Hi Khalia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am now the brand director for a cannabis brand here in Los Angeles named Rapper Weed. I moved to LA in November 2018 to pursue my wardrobe styling career but with the circumstances of life and co-vid, all roads led me to a very amazing opportunity – which is becoming an official brand director.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been the hardest road ever! lol! This is a funny question, I just posted a meme today that read, “I’ve never been afraid to start over, this is like my 3rd life” and I reposted it with the comment “this is def my 5th lol”. So yes, it has been the hardest road of re-invention but not forgetting who I am and what my ultimate end goal is. The struggle of moving away from my family and friends still kicks my a** some days but I try to look at the bright side of it – which is I’m living in my dreams so it makes it a little easier to deal with.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Rapper Weed?
Rapper Weed is a cannabis company that started here in Los Angeles. We are currently operating out of our office/showroom. Our motto is to provide you with a luxurious experience whether it be through the flower, our clothing and merchandise we design, or our events that we curate. We’re known for all three experiences – we sell our clothing on our website (www.rapperweed.com) and we’ve been pushing the brand through our events – which have been pop up/day parties in New York City, Boston, and here in LA. We take value in keeping long-term clientele so we try to connect with everyone we come across. Cannabis tends to bring everyone together, lol. I’m most proud of our team. We have such a great group of people working together and everyone is extremely passionate about the role they play. It makes my job pretty easy. I’d like the readers to know that we have started a creative agency named “626 Creative Agency” to help other brands (specifically cannabis brands) market themselves. There’s not really a blueprint in the cannabis industry and our team has been pretty successful so far that we’d like to help others. So tap in with us, 626 Creative Agency!
