Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Crenshaw.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Kevin. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Love was so painful for me that I held a loaded pistol in my mouth and almost took my life when my ex-fiance cheated on me and dumped me. Then the two relationships after her even cheated on me. I was in so much pain, because if love is the point of life… why was it this painful? I was ravished by why It all happened and why people aren’t getting the love they want in their lives so I sought answers…
But, backing up… I was the shy nerd kid who didn’t have many friends in school. I struggled with my grades. I had extreme social anxiety. I had constant suicidal thoughts. And when I started to change my life through fitness, I became a group fitness instructor. And putting that mic on was scary at first, but I got addicted to helping people and getting outside of myself. It gave me purpose.
After liberating myself from negative patterns in my love life, I was able to save a friends marriage. That was the first time I KNEW this was my calling, but I was living in Dallas, TX at the time. I was trying to build a fitness career at the time and had just got my apartment after being starving, broke, and homeless living out of my car for six months. Something in me just wouldn’t give up on helping others… but I was giving myself so many excuses as to why “it wasn’t the right time” for me to be a relationship coach.
I struggled with it for a while, giving myself excuses like “but people love you for fitness” and “you don’t have a relationship, who would listen to you coaching on love?!”. I finally started to listen to this inner conflict and decided to spend a year to myself, by myself. I sold everything I owned, cut my lease, packed a suitcase, and traveled the world with no plan. That was when I accepted this as my calling and was able to further fall into my true self.
Since launching, through my live events, online programs, and 1:1 coaching… I’ve been able to help people unlock love in their life – turn around even more marriages, help people get out of toxic situations, help singles manifest their dream partner, and help countless people change their relationship to relationships.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I had to get out of my own way. I launched this when I was traveling the world and had no money, so I really had to look after my own basic needs, and build my brand and impact. Every moment in my life has prepared me for where I am today. From being milliseconds from ending my life, from crying myself to sleep in my car, from starving and not eating for days, from people hating and trying to “take me down”, from my own struggles with relationships, and even selling myself on the fact that my medicine (work) is craved by the world and needed. It’s taken me my whole life to develop the skills, personality, and artistry at the level in which I operate now. This didn’t happen by chance, I built where I am today.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Heart Guy – what should we know?
I am a love coach who helps singles and couples unlock love. What that means is I help people heal the past and claim their self worth to ultimately manifest and maintain their ideal relationship.
I’m proud of the results I’ve given thousands of people and my upcoming live event tour across the world.
My coaching is different because of ME. I know what to do because I know what NOT to do. I’ve lived it. I understand. I see the hurt and frustration. I rarely give advice… because I believe we all know our truth and how to love… I help facilitate experiences for people to heal so they can get out of their own way and take their own advice.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I listen to understand. When someone comes to me for help, I often look past the words coming out of their mouth and I’m listening for what need is not being met. I help them have higher awareness from giving a unique perspective.
