Meet Keon Khatibi of Solter Plastics in West Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keon Khatibi.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Keon. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Solter Plastics has been in business over 48 years, previously owned by Bill & Dick Solter. I took over the business in 2014 with little knowledge of plastics. I wanted to create a tailored plastic fabrication experience with my customers and create unique items that leaves them speechless. Where we really succeed is providing that one on one time with our customers, we find out a little bit about them, they get to know us and form an amazing business relationship.

Has it been a smooth road?
In any business you have your obstacles and challenges. I like to tell people, “If you can draw it – we can make it”. Our customers have the biggest imagination and are very creative, being able to read their mind and bring their ideas to life is always a challenge, yet always rewarding!

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Everything done at Solter Plastics is custom tailored to your needs. We have the largest selection of acrylic colors in the U.S. We are known worldwide for our unique colored glitter and mirrored acrylic sheets. Whether you need a piece of acrylic cut to size for a window, tabletop or school project we are always willing to help. Our customer base ranges from an average home owner, commercial businesses, movie industry, Universities and many more.

We love our customers and we love referrals even more! It always makes us proud when a new customer contacts us and mentions their friend or family referred them and how beautiful their items look!

We carry clear acrylic from 1/8″ to 4″ thick. We have some of the best fabricators in the industry with 20 years + of experience. With our large in stock inventory and team of fabricators, there isn’t anything we can’t do!

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Los Angeles is an entrepreneurs dream city. With real estate growing and the economy improving, there is no better place to own a business. We are wedged in between Beverly Hills, Downtown LA, Pacific Palisades and Westwood.

Our clientele comes from all over acquiring our plastics and services. Anyone looking to start a business in Los Angeles, I’d recommend knowing your demographic of customers and their needs. See who you are competing with and be more unique than anyone else.
