Meet Ken Arutyunyan of International Sport Union

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ken Arutyunyan.

Ken, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my first gym in Glendale, California in 1990, offered a variety of sports including wushu, sanshou, kung fu, karate, boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, sambo, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics. I started my second gym in North Hollywood in 1996, added the sports of wrestling, tae kwon do, and acroyoga.

Has it been a smooth road?
There’s always difficulties when starting your own business, but with a strong foundation of good morals and ethics, we were able to overcome these obstacles.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with International Sport Union – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am proud to offer a variety of sports according to ability and interest to members of our community. We strive to keep kids off the streets and teach them good character skills. I am proud that we have built a community of lifelong friendships at international Sport Union (ISU). The coaches and trainers at ISU are European, world, and Olympian athletes themselves. We provide the best knowledge base available to our members, young and old.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I like the diversity of our population, the integration of cultures, and the great weather. Athletes can perform their activities out at the parks and beaches to stay fit.

I dislike the amount of traffic and pollution.
