Meet Katrina Stuart

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Stuart.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been into music ever since I was a kid. At four years old, I started playing piano and was on stage yearly with recitals since then. I remember being at home one time and seeing Alicia Keys playing the piano and singing. From that moment I knew that that is what I wanted to do. I began singing lessons around 10 and also a few guitar lessons here and there. I posted a YouTube video when I was 12 years old of me singing and playing a cover of The One That Got Away by Katy Perry. This video gained some popularity overnight and got to about 40k views which were crazy at the time. From then on, I started posting YouTube covers regularly and thats kind of where it all started! I began to work with producers in Toronto and then Los Angeles and continued to grow myself into an artist. I moved to Los Angeles when I was 15 years old to pursue my career in the entertainment industry and have lived here ever since. I have been constantly working and trying to better myself and my career.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Definitely not. It was very hard moving to a whole different country, just me and my mom. I had to say bye to my dad, siblings, friends, and my whole life there. Moving here at such a young age kind of forced me to grow up. I had to work normal jobs, I was homeschooled. And I couldn’t just be in the studio all the time which is what I always wanted but unfortunately, bills had to be paid! From traveling back and forth from Canada to LA, and being in studios and working with videographers, and producers, and everything that needed to be done… it definitely put a strain on my family as it’s not a cheap thing to do. Luckily, my family is hard working and very supportive of my career and we do everything we can to make things work so I just feel very thankful and blessed to even be living in Los Angeles.

Please tell us about Katrina Stuart.
I am a musician, singer, influencer, actress, dancer, and model. Music will always have the biggest part of my heart though since that is what I grew up on. I would say I’m known for being a singer and influencer first. I have released quite a few songs that are available on Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, etc. I think I’m most proud of the type of content I put out there because I just stay myself whether people like it or not. Honestly, something that I think sets me apart from others is how hardworking I am. I’ve seen many people try to make it in the entertainment industry but just end up giving up which is something I refuse to do.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing. I feel like with everything that happened, I have learned SO MUCH compared to other people my age and even after bad situations, I come out stronger and know for next time. I think everyone has to go through those hard times and push through to be able to come out on top.
