Today we’d like to introduce you to Kathy Kaehler.
Helping people learn how to be happier, healthier and bolder through health, fitness and inner beauty, Kathy Kaehler is unstoppable in her commitment to empowering women who are entering midlife, but unwilling to let their fit, fabulous and sexy selves go.
Through her definitive LA TalkRadio show/podcast “Kathy Kaehler Live!,” audiences love Kathy for her willingness, to be honest, and get real when it comes to stress, nutrition, positive living, personal growth, and the really important stuff like sleep, sex and satisfaction.
In addition to her radio show, Kathy’s personal training programs, best-selling books, and wildly-popular blog articles (you never know what she’ll say next!), Kathy gives women the inspiration and resources they need to take back control of their lives and know that it’s never too late to create the life they dream of.
No stranger to transforming people’s lives, Kathy has spent the last 30 years working out, teaching, training, and cooking side-by-side with health, fitness and positive-living icons like Jane Fonda, Katie Couric, Leeza Gibbons, and the Kardashians. When Kathy faced a double hip replacement in her late 40s, she took a big risk and opened up to her audience, sharing through her blog the fears, nasty scars, and everyday struggles as she worked through them, never holding back. These emotionally-charged stories allow her audience to see and connect emotionally with her as a real-life person. Here is someone who understands, shares the same worries and struggles, and best of all, really, truly CARES.
When Kathy spontaneously offered to connect with readers on the phone as she recovered from her surgery, women from around the world reached out, grateful to know they weren’t alone, and eager to share their struggles with someone they knew they could trust. Working one-on-one, Kathy taps into her lifetime of experience to provide them with the right nutrition, exercise and healthy living solutions to create the abundant, fabulous life they deserve.
This passion for transforming her own struggles into positive and realistic health and fitness support that fits into the real world has truly resonated and, after 30 years of helping people, Kathy revels in the transformations she’s witnessing as she helps women take back control of their bodies, their lives, and the role they play in this world.
When I’m not on the phone or the radio I’m helping women get fit and sexy, hanging out with “My Three Sons”, LOL or cuddling with my man of 27 years, taking selfies of my bulldog, Red or Insta storying my 88 yr. old mom, Janet! If you’re thinking to yourself, I know I’ve seen her somewhere before, you probably have:
I’ve helped everyone from the soccer mom to the celebrity superstar. I trained Julia Roberts, Michelle Pfeiffer, Cindy Crawford, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Lopez, Denise Richards, Claudia Schiffer, and Kim Basinger. I also created Sunday Set-Up,™ a signature system for organizing food at the beginning of the week, ensuring healthy snacks and meals make it to the table all week long. During my free moments, I wrote some books. My titles include “Teenage Fitness,” “Fit and Sexy for Life,” “Kathy Kaehler’s Celebrity Workouts,” and “MomEnergy,” and I jumped for joy to be included in magazines and multimedia sites such as Elle, Huffington Post, Self, InStyle, Us Weekly, Shape, Fitness, Family Circle, Health, More, and Woman’s Day. I guess you can say that in the 90’s and early 2000’s I was the leading health and fitness expert. Which launched my 13-year stint as the fitness expert on the NBC Today Show with Katie Couric, spokesperson for USANA and other high-profile brands including Pretzel Crisps, Propel, Ragu, and Serta. My 5-year podcast LA Talk Radio Show, “Kathy Kaehler Live!,” featured leading experts and influencers including Nikki Sharp, Lee Woodruff, Dr. Jennifer Berman, Keri Glassman, and “Food Babe” Vani Hari. And now…I’ve picked up the acting bug and recently shot my first series as Denise King in “Rusty Camel TV”. Live is good!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has never been a smooth road, which is a blessing. Without failure, without obstacles, without disappointment how would one ever learn. I guess this is where I get my drive. I was born with two dislocated hips. At five years of age, I had surgery to put a pin in my one hip and off I went on a new path, literally running. Throughout high school, I excelled in sports at state championship levels in track, volleyball and basketball. In fact, today 2019 I still hold my high school track records!! However, body image and eating disorders took me off onto another path and plagued me for years. Anorexia and bulimia almost ended my life with three grand mal seizures. A disgusting mental derailment based on looks could have destroyed my life. However, this path introduced me to an extraordinary man educated with degrees in fat burning and metabolism. I glommed onto every word he said and learned my way back to the healthy path of living. And would you know it on that path was Jane Fonda who then turned into my boss in the late 90’s. I worked for Jane for two incredible years which ignited my own personal training business as she departed the fitness industry for a love affair with mega mogul Ted Turner. Now, I say a personal training business, did you know that didn’t even exist especially for women. Can you imagine what my parents thought?? Well, it took off and so did life. I got married. I had three kids. I lost my father. I went through meno-F-pause!!! And then, my hips started hurting and I injured my shoulders. Back to surgery and had both hips replaced and a repaired torn rotator cuff. What a path that was. After a life of crazy activeness and then the moment that I actually filmed myself trying to put on my underwear and FAILED!!!! However, I’m back swimming, walking, lifting and ACTING. Yup, acting… my new path. Trust me, I’m taking any path because who the hell knows what’s going to be on it!
Kathy Kaehler Fitness LLC – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business is a lot of things. However, my passion still lies in questions that many ask themselves.
Does this sound familiar?
Working out but no results?
Not reaching your goals?
Belly fat…YUCK!
Waking up tired?
Bloated?

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Deep internal happiness. The kind you might remember as a child. When I tap myself on the back and say you did good Kathy. When I say to myself that was a success. It means to me that I did the best job I could do. I brought my A game!
