Thanks for sharing your story with us Katherine. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Right out of high school, my parents got divorced and I knew I wasn’t going to be able to go to college, in order to help my mom I started working and I knew that I wanted to be in the beauty industry the moment that I started doing makeup on myself and on my friends.
Growing up, I was very sheltered, they wouldn’t allow me to put any kind of makeup on myself because I was “too young” therefore when I reached a certain age to do what I finally wanted to do I got very creative with my make up skills. After nine years of doing makeup and special effects, I started focusing on aesthetics, I went to school to get my aesthetic license and I focused on facials for about a year until I found a passion for lash extensions and I dedicated my time fully into lashing clients.
Has it been a smooth road?
Thankfully I have the support of all my family and my friends and clients that have been with me since day one. Sometimes my clients waited three hours if they had to, for me to finish a set of lashes on them and I knew it would take a long time but they were patient with me and very supportive as I just started my journey. I think a big challenge for me was having two little ones while I was trying to work at the same time, I had to balance life between being a mom and running my own business.

I’m known for doing lash extensions with a very specific look, I also have a signature look where you can tell it’s me that has worked on a client. I also do facials but my main service is lash extensions. I make sure I can give the upmost customer service to all my clients and treat my celebrity clients as equally as my regular clients. No one is bigger or better than anyone for me I treat everyone the same and I think that’s important for a business. Professionalism and charisma that allows clients to feel comfortable with you.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
My city Encino is a very reputable city. A very wanted city. A desirable city at that, Because it’s a very known place for high-end celebrities, lucrative businesses and it’s central to shops and beauty bars.
