Meet Karmon DuPrée Jr of Day & Night Exotic Cereal Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karmon DuPrée Jr.

Hi Karmon, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Where do I begin? In Cleveland? Or LA? Both seem like their very own marvel timeline, lol.

Well, I was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Not too far away from my favorite person, LeBron James!

I’ve always possessed a creative and curious mind even as a child. After school, I would leave, and instead of heading home or out to play with friends, I would go shadow other business owners at the local office space on Lee Rd, in Shaker Heights, Ohio near my high school. I would come in and simply ask each person about their respective business concepts and ideas, and I offered my assistance to any and everyone to do any and everything pertaining to said business.

I just remember having this overwhelming feeling of curiosity about every business model I came across, and that’s when I knew that business and entrepreneurship was what I loved to do and wanted to be. At the time and age, I had never been so sure of anything in my life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
“Entrepreneurship is never a “smooth road”.

But always a road worth taking!

Some of the struggles along the way were some of the obvious obstacles I believe all entrepreneurs face, financial struggles, being understaffed for certain projects, which leads to lack of infrastructure, lack of information, and also balancing my work and personal life as a growing adult.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Day & Night is dedicated to a high standard of quality and imagination by bringing a childhood staple from the past into the present.

Day & Night Exotic Cereal Bar has become a market leader as a minority-owned business that delivers a nostalgic experience while-ensuring quality services through personal touch.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love everything about Los Angeles and California as a whole!

The inspiration, energy, and cultural diversity is unmatched.

Least favorite thing about LA……TRAFFIC (lol)
