Meet Karlo Mamic of Pollux Capital in Beverly Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karlo Mamic.

Karlo, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my voyage in Zagreb, Croatia, my home country. When I was little I was a soccer player, but I was always interested in business, so I started to collect jerseys of the famous soccer clubs and selling them.

By the time I was 19, I already had my first company for distribution of a small magnetic parts for cars, very soon a sold that and went to study in Vienna Austria, parallel I had a couple of businesses, including restaurant business, but in the economy in Croatia was so bad at the time, it was 2012/2013, that all of my businesses went bankrupt.

Nevertheless, I decided to take my last money and left for Canada, later on, it will prove itself as the key point in my journey, as I was in Canada, I stayed briefly, I left for the USA, I did my MBA, and met my mentor, who is established entrepreneur in the US, but Croatian descent. He holds over 400 patents all over the world and distribution as well as investments.

I hold right now seven and have a couple of investments projects going on in the US as well as Emirates and Europe. I plan on going to take a tour around the world where I will take an insight into the operation of businesses over the world and the economy in general. It will all be put into a video so that entrepreneurs all over the world can see and learn.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It was an extremely bumpy ride. I’ve been bankrupt two times before I was 30. Coming from a small country like Croatia and trying to succeed in the Northern American market is like winning a lottery.

But I have a winning mentality and I will never give up. So I kept going, understanding the laws, and being one step in front of the competition was the biggest struggles along the way, as well as being an immigrant far away from home.

Message to all of those like me, keep going, keep on believing, the struggle is real, but so are you. You will be alone most of the time, and you will lose a lot of things on this journey of being an entrepreneur, maybe your mind, but fail big, and you can make it.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I have a couple of companies on a couple of continents, most noticeable one is Pollux Capital, where we have a wide variety of services, from investments to trading (stocks, crypto), I am a partner in that company.

I’m also a shareholder in other companies where we have distribution around the world for products like head sup trainer for soccer, vision vest, selfie suck, and canper…

Fantastic products and I have the patents. I would say hard work and dedication is what sets us apart from the rest.

Also, that we know how to recognize a good product and how to apply a basic marketing strategy to it for making it successful, whether it is a product for retail or online or it is an investment into a startup company is an entrepreneur. We know how to recognize winners.

What were you like growing up?
I was diagnosed with hyperactivity disorder very early on, so I could never be in one place. I constantly have to move and explore, that’s why the world became my oyster. I live on all major continents and many major cities in the world. I was always interested in sports, but some injuries took me away from that path, but I never stopped training like professional athletes.

I love boxing and gymnastics… My personality is being an extrovert I am always ready for new friendships and especially new business ventures, I’m not afraid of staying up late and getting up early, hard work in general. It will all pay off in the end. My favorite quote is: stay patient and trust your journey, so I would say I’m a dreamer but aren’t we all…
