Meet Karen Navarrete, Herbalife Distributer and Motivational Influencer in Carson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karen Navarrete.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My story with this company is a pretty interesting one. I started Herbalife when I was 18 years old – at the time, I was overcoming depression; trying to focus on school while also working in Chic-fil-a. When I was working there, my sponsor continued to tell me about how amazing my work ethic was and how if I changed my mind dawg with where I was I can change my life. Being the negative person I was at the time, I ignored him and told him my life can never be better there where it’s at that I did not deserve to be happy and I just had to do what I had to do to get by. One day, he walked in after 4 months of him trying to convince me to join the positive community and I have seen how his relationship with his daughter was and I immediately felt as if this person could be trusted – I have lost faith in people and at the time, I felt the world was against me. But, for once in my life, I felt as if I actually was being blessed with that one thing I been looking for – I finally gave in and asked my sponsor about how I can go about learning more about this positive community he was talking about. He told me it all starts with being mentally and physically healthy and that’s what I really wanted he invited me over to what we call a “Nutrition Club” and let me tell you I can automatically feel the positive presence of everyone I was around I truly told myself “I haven’t felt this good in a long time” people high fiving me – asking me about what my goals in life are – showing me live testimonies of people who either got a health result or simply just became a lot more happier by just having a “family” of people aiming for the same things.

I didn’t grow up in a positive environment nor do my parents have a positive impact in my life but when I realized that this “Herbalife thing” was truly more than just a multi-level marketing business that sells supplements I learned that that’s how I was looking at my life – I thought what I was living was the only way to live but it’s not – Herbalife showed me that if you truly believe that you can change the world or yourself that you can accomplish many things in life. I believed I was always different but joining Herbalife taught me that my testimony – my story and my struggles can change so many lives. I started to share my story, I no longer was afraid to let people know what made me who I am – I no longer was suicidal or a negative person I finally realized that if you surround yourself around people who are always trying to work on themselves you too will start finding ways to work on yourself. I started to workout more and became more confident and also started sharing my journey on social media and attracted so many like-minded people. I learned that when people know who you truly are they will always support you, so I took it on to be successful with Herbalife and not because of the money but because people’s happiness means 100x more than what’s in my bank account. I know I’ve changed lives the same way mines been changed, so many people have their opinions on what you do. But till they hear the testimonies and truly become a part of it, will they understand why I am so passionate about what it is I do.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Nothing that’s worth having comes easy. I’ve had people down talk about what I do, saying it’s fraud and a waste of money. I’ve lost friends who never understood the value of hard work. Family always saying you’re a drug dealer just because I’m posting supplements. I learned that people will always have something to say but behind 10 no’s can be 5 yes’s and that’s truly all you need.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Herbalife is known as the number one nutrition company in the world, our goal is to inspire and motivate people to practice a healthy and active lifestyle – we teach them that when you focus on yourself, your mind becomes healthy, too. We encourage people to focus on personal development, to always say what you’re grateful for and to understand that with you, working on yourself can inspire many others and that’s how we generate income by guiding others and teaching them how to inspire others by results.

I’m known for being so young and building a strong solid business around the world. It’smainlyt my story that impacts people. I’m most proud of seeing my fellow team members become better versions of themselves.
What sets me apart is my age, usually many woman my age aren’t doing things like this and sharing a powerful testimony.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very reserved. I was always told, I wasn’t meant to be in this world that I was out here by mistake, so growing up it stuck with me that I wasn’t good enough. I alway tried to be the best at everything to prove to my parents that I was good enough but they would not ackknolwde that. As I got older, I enrolled myself into counseling, had about 4 therapists and also tried to play sports to get rid of anger I grew up with. I was suicidal 3 times in the past, but it was those experiences that showed me I truly do have a purpose in life.
