Meet Karen Clay-Beck of Pacific Marriage and Family Therapy Network

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karen Clay-Beck.

Karen, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
For as long as I can remember, I have always held a deep curiosity for human behavior – why do we feel the way we feel or do what we do? It seemed I would find my answer through the field of psychology. Before beginning graduate school, I took some time to further personal life experiences through expressions of the culinary arts, world travel, the equestrian sport, and growing a family. These moments in time gave me the opportunity to develop my goals in graduate school and appreciate how I would be able to help others the most.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not always been smooth sailing and the journey is not always easy. Hindsight is 20/20 but this journey has brought me to where I am and who I have become today. For me, it’s been about learning from times gone wrong, making good choices, and being grateful on the daily.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Pacific Marriage and Family Therapy Network – what should we know?
