Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaelyn Wolkensdorfer.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In 2018, I was a fashion stylist intern and attending a local community college. Fashion and beauty have always been my passion! I decided to take a lash course for fun to make a little money while I styled on the side. I ended up falling in love with lashing and at age 19, I started my own brand “Rockin Lashes”. It quickly became my obsession. Over the last two years, I have continuously been trying to learn and evolve my brand. I’ve taken multiple lash courses from some of the top mentors in the industry. I now offer tooth gems and microblading. I recently rebranded my business to “Rockin Aesthetics” to reflect how much I’ve evolved as an artist. My brand is so much more and I don’t want to limit myself to just lashing! “Rockin Aesthetics” is a representation of who I am and my unique style. I love all things fashion, beauty, and rock n roll. Being a young professional in this industry has taught me that whether your 14 or 65 beauty has no age and everyone deserves to feel beautiful.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The current beauty industry is very competitive and all potential clients have so many options to chose from. As a young professional, a lot of people look down on me for my age and edgy style. I just ignore the negativity and keep working hard on building my brand. I try to support all my fellow independent girl bosses, artists and entrepreneurs in any way that I can. I truly believe in women empowering other women.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Rockin Aesthetics – what should we know?
Rockin Aesthetics offers classic, hybrid and volume lashes. We also offer Swarovski crystal tooth gems and yellow and white tooth charms. In the spring of 2021, “Rockin Aesthetics” will also be offering microblading. At “Rockin Aesthetics” you can expect an experience that’s customized just for you.
