Meet Judith Bodart Beylerian

Today we’d like to introduce you to Judith Bodart Beylerian.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Judith. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I am an artist working in fashion. My passion to find treasures is a part of me since my youth.

Today, I live my dream by discovering these treasures in the world markets of Paris, New York, and Los Angeles. My big and beautiful family is composed of artists… Only!

Growing up, I had to try every kind of arts being inspired by all these mentors around me… from design to fine arts, 3D to couture… etc!

Each of this art became part of me, and you can trace it in my work today where all my “One of a kind” pieces are built with the knowledge I acquire during this educative family life.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The life of an artist can definitely be filled of obstacles as the discovery of your inner self began. I experience the struggle of being an artist very young.

It comes with the territory when you grow up in a family of artists but by this choice for freedom and I never felt we were missing anything but much more rich of everything! I acquire much wisdom, later on, being married to another artist.

We decided to surrender together to this life and to believe in ourselves. Focusing every day on our art. It is the real key to growth and success. Going with the flow give a chance to your dream to become true.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
As an artist and fashion designer, I always follow my heart instead of the trend. It reveals that I fit in, just by being myself!

I decided to use my maiden name and my married name together “JUDITH BODART BEYLERIAN ” as the name of my company. It represents my past, my roots with my present and my future and I assume to this union my own sense of style.

I create One+Of+A+Kind accessories, jewelry and fashion pieces from mostly vintage treasures. An intricate association of diverse pieces who become alive as I fuse them together with multiple meticulous handcraft techniques combine with beautiful and noble materials. I name them: Wearable Art! …They are unique as any of us are.

And my most grand pleasure is to find the right “Soul mate” for each of my creation. My clientele is really diverse and was created mostly from mouth to mouth. I propose Private Visite to my Art Studio and Showroom. I love this special intimate moment to give a tour to my world to share & inspire the possibility of new creativity.

One aspect of my work is to be a commission to create special custom design pieces for my client by using one of their treasures often a heirloom to transform into Wearable art or simply an idea and vision that I will incorporate into the creative work.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
One of my earliest creation was the wedding dress of Julia Roberts to Dany Moder to who I also created his groom’s shirt. It was surreal! An absolutely unbelievable and a huge honor. I owe it also to my dear friend and mentor Serge Normant, renowned and extremely talented Artist and Hairstylist who introduce me to Julia Roberts.

Probably one of my proudest moment but I have to say In a flow of designing a piece who turn out to be spectacular I will be a surrender by the joy of this accomplishment, always! Each time I am revealing to any of my client their final piece and the vision is reached… this feeling is incomparable!
