Meet Juan Garcia of QuickFit BootCamp in Fullerton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Juan Garcia.

Juan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Born and raised in Santa Ana CA, I started playing baseball at the age of 4 and earned a scholarship to play baseball in college. I was always pretty athletic and in pretty good shape. At school, I was studying Business. It was at this time that my father got very sick and that changed the direction I was headed in. My father was diabetic and had high blood pressure. He went through a very traumatic last few years. There were some good times in there but way too many ugly painful times. Seeing this first hand made me realize it was a terrible way to go through life and most of it could have been prevented with better education and better decisions of what we put in our bodies. I became a coach shortly after and it is my passion to change the lives of those heading in a direction that leads to pain and suffering for everyone involved. Along the way I’ve learned that most people don’t enjoy working out, like the athletes I grew up training next to. I’ve learned getting people to change behaviors takes a lot more than a motivational quote or a membership to a fancy gym. I try to make change as easy as possible. Whether getting to the gym or getting the veggies instead of the fries, change is difficult and it’s my job to help make it happen.

Has it been a smooth road?
I have worked for struggling gyms which had to close down, gyms with bad leadership and people whose beliefs and priorities did not line up with mine. I have worked for myself and know the struggle of not knowing if I’ll make enough money next month to pay my bills. I have worked with clients who are stubborn and non-compliant and clients with medical issues who just can’t seem to get ahead. The life of a coach is never easy.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
At QUICKFIT BootCamp, we believe the key to life is balance. We work hard so we can PLAY HARD. We eat our veggies and workout so we can enjoy pizza night with the family or happy hour with friends. We also believe in having as much fun as possible along the way.

We believe getting in great shape doesn’t have to mean getting rid of all the fun awesome things life has to offer. Cookies are amazing, too many cookies can be a problem. Wine is fantastic, too much wine can hold back our progress. We believe finding the right balance in all we do leads to a much happier healthier life.

We create a well-rounded fitness and health experience through our premiere coaching, programming, and tight-knit community.

No more headphones and long redundant workouts. Gone are the screaming boot camp drill sergeants. We provide high fives, a good sweat, and top tier coaches trained to tailor each and every workout to your individual needs. All in just 30 minutes a day!!!

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Absolutely, because its real life. There is so much to see and experience. Every day, every night there is so much going on and so many different people to learn from, it’s beautiful.
