Meet Joshua, Vanessa and Georges Amran of Zauria

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua, Vanessa and Georges Amran.

ZAURIA is a family owned and operated company that was started by three siblings; one sister and two brothers. The founders of ZAURIA are Vanessa, Joshua, and Georges. Their story began with Vanessa, she always struggled with sensitive skin and could never find products that worked for her skincare and makeup routine. After years of struggling with extremely sensitive and volatile skin, Vanessa was desperate to find chemical-free skincare products that would work for her.

However, the vast majority of the products out there were laden with harmful chemicals or did not use quality ingredients. Fed up with settling for subpar cosmetics, Vanessa decided to make her own using all natural skin-loving ingredients. And thus ZAURIA was born.

After creating their flagship 24k Rosé beauty oil, Vanessa saw dramatic improvements in her skin and began sharing her new formula with family and friends. Little did she expect that her skincare experiment would cause such a huge craze; everyone who used her new product raved about it and kept asking for more.

After hearing all of the positive feedback, Vanessa realized that she was not the only one who struggled to find skincare products that worked for her and wanted to find a way to share her formula with the rest of the world. Since her parents immigrated to the US to pursue the American dream, entrepreneurship was not a new concept in her family. Vanessa knew that she could turn to her brothers to help her build a dynamic new company that will shake up the beauty industry and provide beauty fanatics with wholesome cosmetics with the highest quality ingredients mother earth has to offer.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We spent over two years fine tuning and perfecting everything from our formula to the packaging to make sure our customers were getting nothing but the best. However, our perfectionism and mission to never compromise quality came at a cost. Vanessa, Joshua, and Georges were all working full time to support themselves and the new business during the launch. Georges would work 24 hour shifts several times a week as a paramedic but would still stay up late to work on the business with his brother and sister. Joshua was working full time at a tech company but would be grinding during every lunch break and late into the night to launch their new product on social media and build connections within the beauty community. Meanwhile, Vanessa was working two jobs as a preschool teacher and behavioral therapist. She would come home exhausted and would still hit the laptop to slave over logo designs and finding the perfect bottle. We had a clear vision of what the best of the best should be and we refused to move on to the next step until our standards were met – if it wasn’t good enough to use on our own skin then it wasn’t going out to our customers. This went for everything from the bottle that houses our product to the care we put into polishing every bottle by hand before sending out to our customer.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about ZAURIA – what should we know?

We stand by the same motto our father has instilled in us since we were young, “never sacrifice on quality”. We are not interested in taking short cuts; while other companies in the beauty industry use fillers and harmful ingredients to increase their profit margins, we will always work to do right by our customers.

For instance, our gold is locally sourced in the USA and abides by the strictest standards of purity. While we would like this to be a standard across the entire industry, the vast majority of cosmetic companies are using less than 24k gold or the gold comes from unreliable sources that are not held to any sort of standard.

Unfortunately, this means that these products run the risk of having toxic fillers, synthetics, and cheaper alternatives, stripping the gold of its natural anti-aging benefits. We truly believe that the quality of our product speaks for itself.
