Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Goldenberg.
Hi Josh, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We began working for the largest residential remodeling companies. Throughout that process we saw that homeowners were not getting the experience we would like to receive if we were looking to remodel our own homes.
We started 5blox to bring that experience to homeowners in LA and Orange county.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has been the opposite of smooth.
The very first hurdle is realizing the key to this goal is not performing remodels well. I know that does not sound intuitive. The key to being good at what we do is learning how to manage customer’s emotions and set expectations appropriately.
We’ve been impressed with 5blox, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We provide architectural design services, interior design services, as well as the construction that follows. We have a showroom in San Pedro that sells finished materials directly as well. We are known for our award winning interior design team as well as having a passive building certified architect to bring those techniques to our new construction homes.
What sets us apart is, when we have a construction project in place we give the interior design services complimentary.
What are we most proud of? I know the right answer is our beautiful award winning projects, or the plethora (1000+) of happy homeowners we have helped over the years, but the truth is the thing that brings me the most pride, is the atmosphere we have in the company. Its very friendly even familial. I don’t know how it happened but it makes me happy everyday.
