Meet Joseph Ferri of Bubblemania and Company in West Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joseph Ferri.

Joseph, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Born and raised in Paris. My Parents immigrated to France from Spain before I was born.

Studied Electrical engineering, finished but followed my passion instead and studied theater in Paris for 2years. Initially moved to Miami where I did some dancing danced and then to NY, Where I in numerous plays, and musicals.

Eventually moved to Los Angeles, with my wife, to chase the Hollywood dream, and started performing bubble shows in the Los Angeles area for Bubblemania and Company which had been founded in 1978 by Beverly Speech. After Beverly Passed I purchased and took over the company and expanded to the Bay Area while continuing to improve the original show while being faithful to the original mission to demonstrate that learning can be fun by providing an educational, entertaining show on the science of bubbles.

Currently, I am also co-writer in the Duo, “Fox & Raven”(www.foxandravenmusic.com), with my wife/attorney (owner of matchmaker music, a film and tv music licensing company).

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
For the most part, it has been as smooth road here in Southern California. I have tried to expand to other areas. Some successfully as in The bay area and Sacramento and unsuccessfully in Arizona and Las Vegas. Although I might try again in the future

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Bubblemania and Company – what should we know?
Operating since 1987 in the Los Angeles area, Bubblemania and Company has now expanded to service all of Southern California as well as the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento Areas. Bubble Mania & Company provides educational entertainment at the highest level of excellence. We combine incredible visual choreography with interactive script formats that involve the audience’s minds and hearts.

We Believe:

Children are naturally interested in science and very curious about the world around them. Our goal is to keep them interested for the rest of their lives with a memorable experience of an interesting and unique nature. We strive to inform that learning is fun. Our presentations across all ages and cultures. The visual presentation is filled with soap bubble creations that mesmerize the audience with seemingly impossible creations of shimmering, wiggling reflections of light, color and flowing liquid motion, of all shapes and sizes. The scripts are written to elicit dialogue and experiential learning and are appropriate for any age group.

We strive to give everyone the 5 start experience they deserve and choose and train our “bubblologist very carefully.

We are the only company that combines education and entertainment and unlike magicians, characters, balloon artists etc.. Our presentation is appropriate for kids of all ages. Like Pixar, we also try to include the parents as well.

Also, My first acting teacher, Iza Itkin, whose father was from the original Moscow art theatre, taught me the power of love and left me with the desire to do good and always better myself.

Pricing:

• Party Program for up to 20 kids: indoor show + outdoor playtime= 1 hour= $200
• Party Program for 20 to 30 kids: indoor show + outdoor playtime= 1 hour 15 min= $225
• Party Program for 30 t0 40 kids: indoor show + outdoor playtime= 1 hour 30 min= $250
• The outdoor Playtime for maximum of 40 kids: 1 hour=$175 ( if no indoor is available)
• The 45 min school assembly: $250 for up to $100, $300 hundred for larger groups
• The festival program: for large groups $300 for 2 hours, $375 for 3 hours, $125 for each additonal hour.
