Jonathan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Is there a way to capture memories for people in a new and exciting way? This was the single question that led me to create 3d Likeables. The desire to answer this question is centered around family, friends and memories. As a father of 5 children and who recently lost a child to Leukemia, I wanted to create a company that could capture people in a way that traditional photographs do not and do not just sit on your mobile device. I believe memories are the most precious thing we have to hold on to of those who mean the most to us. So, from this sentiment, I created 3d Likeables with the mission to capture, create and print real people and pets in 3D.
Has it been a smooth road?
The creation of 3d Likeables has been very exciting, but as with any new start up business there are obstacles and challenges to overcome. Real people printed in 3D is a new concept for most people. So, the challenge of introducing something new is also the most exciting and rewarding. It’s not every day a person sees and or experiences something new for the first time.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the 3d Likeables story. Tell us more about the business.
3d Likeables is a family owned business that utilizes 3D photography and 3D printing to create life-like replicas of real people and pets. We are the first 3D photography and 3d printing business of its kind in Southern California and because our technology is mobile we offer customers the opportunity to visit us in studio or we can arrange to be onsite for a special event, such as corporate parties, retail POP Up Shops, sporting events, fund raising events, school fund raisers, anniversary parties, birthday parties, weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. 3d Likeables make amazing gifts for best friends, parents, grandparents, couples, newlyweds, athletes of all ages, and especially for the person who has everything.
3d Likeables is our way of turning something devastating into something positive. We are very proud of what we have to offer people and their families and truly appreciate the positive response we have received from the community at large.
