Meet John Rose of Pro Movers

Today we’d like to introduce you to John Rose.

John, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Our company started a little over 5 years ago with only 1 twenty-six-foot truck and 2 movers. We have worked diligently to build this company together and grow to what we are now. The largest local moving company in Orange County. As well, we have recently opened up a new location in Eugene, Oregon. What I think makes us great is our staff. We are fortunate to have in my opinion, some of the best movers in the state.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
In this industry, many issues can arise. After all, moving is stressful. And you are carrying thousands of pounds of household goods from one point to another. It starts with good customer service. Our dispatchers get calls from prospective clients who are often nervous about their move. They are nervous about movers showing up on time, and damaging their belongings. Sometimes they even call and cry. Our dispatchers do a wonderful job of calming these clients down. One major struggle we have as movers is our customers’ expectations. You see, most of our clients would never think of moving their stuff on their own. That’s why they hire us. But many of them have a strong opinion on how many hours their move will take. They need to consider things like the distance the truck can park from the home. How well prepared they are before we arrive. The fact that our movers pad and wrap their furniture. And so on. There are many factors that can make a move go long or slow. We know we use good movers. And we know that they move fast and work hard. Moving is one of the hardest and most thankless jobs in the country. And our boys do it day in and day out.

Please tell us about Pro Movers Inc..
My position here at Pro Movers Inc. is General Manager. I make run the day to day operations. My job is to make sure the jobs go smooth, and the customer is taken care of. I’m most proud of our growth in such a short period of time. Where most business owners spend their money frivolously, our owners put the money back into the company. They make sure their workers are paid well. And that we have nice trucks and the best equipment so our movers can get the job done efficiently. They never lose sight of progress. I have worked in the past for 9 other moving companies. TO most companies out there, customers are not the highest priority. It’s all about the bottom dollar. Not here at Pro Movers Inc. We care about our customers.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
There isn’t much I would do differently. So far, our ship is sailing smoothly. Customers are happy, workers are happy, so I’m happy.
