Today we’d like to introduce you to John Layke and Payman Danielpour.
John and Payman, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
When Dr. Danielpour and I started practice in 2009, we took emergency call at the hospital. We noticed families would bring their child who sustained a laceration, they would wait hours to see a plastic surgeon, and many emergency room doctors would stitch them up and send them to us for follow up.
Many times, it was a horrible experience for the parents, as well as for the child, and the scars were subpar. We decided that we would start our own 24-hour emergency laceration service, where an injured child/adult could be seen in the comfort of our own office, often within 30-45 minutes, and the scar would be managed until it looked perfect. I initially created our own webpage, wrote the content, made brochures, and created a poster that was placed on several mini-billboards strategically located throughout the city. Now we have several plastic surgeons who are on call 24/7.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
For a while, Dr. Danielpour and myself were the only plastic surgeons involved. This became very time-consuming and we weren’t able to cover every night.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Group – what should we know?

At Stitch MD, you are charged a single fee which includes the consultation, the procedure, as well as multiple follow-ups, that is a quarter of the price of an ER visit.
