Meet John Di Domenico of Di Domenico Creative

Today we’d like to introduce you to John Di Domenico.

John , please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
When I was a kid, I was a ham. I grew up in a row home neighborhood in Ambler, PA right outside of Philadelphia. My neighbors would sit out on their steps and I would perform impressions of entertainers I had just seen on TV. I had a severe speech impediment as a child but when I did impressions it would disappear, only to come back once I spoke in my own voice. So I spent a great deal of time speaking in voices that were not my own. I did eight years of speech therapy and I’m now a professional Emmy Nominated, Actor, Writer, Comedian and Impersonator, and I perform many different characters but I’m best known for my award winning Donald Trump impersonation.

I’ve been performing Trump since 2004. When Donald Trump announced his presidential run in June of 2015 my career took off, I became the official Donald Trump for numerous TV shows, making countless appearances on Conan O’Brien, Chelsea Handler, Fox News Redeye, Fox & Friends, Blaze Network and many more outlets. I also read the tweets and performs sketches on Slate’s Trumpcast podcast and live shows. I’m is the only Trump impersonator in the world to have appear on the This Morning, Britain. Today Show & Sunrise Australia, Today Show Ireland, plus hundreds of other international TV, radio and news appearances.

I’ve have made hundreds and hundreds of live appearances as Donald Trump around the country and internationally. I can be seen and heard in videos on Youtube, commercials, animated series, voiceovers and even toys.

I have appeared as Trump in three feature films and the 13 episode comedy web series “You Got Trumped” and is the winner of ABC’s The View’s National Trump Contest and The Laugh Factory’s International Trump Competition. Currently I’m shooting a streaming comedy special.

I started my acting career in Philadelphia, then moved to New York to work in theatre, television, film, standup and was a member of the Improv Company “Some Assembly Required”.

I attended East Stroudsburg University and graduated from Temple University with a BA in Speech Communications and spent a year as an Intern for U.S. Senator Arlen Specter.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m a one man band, that’s the biggest challenge. When you are running your own business every minute is accounted for so finding time to be creative and write is difficult. My days star early and go late but I love what I do.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Di Domenico Creative, Inc. – what should we know?
I’m an actor, writer, comedian and impersonator. I specialize in content driven corporate comedy at national sales meetings, conferences, conventions, expos, team building, retreats, mergers and roasts. Of course there are videos and remote appearances. Currently, I am known as the Donald Trump on Conan O’Brien, Chelsea Handler, Fox News Redeye, the Blaze Network, Fox & Friends and Trumpcast. You probably seen or heard me. in commercials, voice overs or Youtube videos as Donald Trump.. My “Wall” commercial has over 30 million views.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Hard work, resilience, perseverance, flexibility, drive, vision and talent. I’m constantly reading about new ways to market my self to the corporate audience. There are so many amazing resources out there between books, videos, audio books and podcasts. I belong to a Mastermind Group and of course getting out and networkinf is extremely valuable for the type of work I do around the country and around the world.
