Meet Joey Amor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joey Amor.

Joey, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My story is a clutter but it has helped me shape who I am today.

I am a solo traveler. I started to travel to find myself in late 2016, at that time, my band broke up and my personal life had fallen apart. Music was all I knew, but I wanted to do something different.

I traveled more, I sold my acoustic guitar and bought a GoPro. I filmed everything while traveling. After traveling a few countries, I decided to edit and share my adventures on YouTube.

In my early travel days, I was in a very dark place and I have shared those moments throughout my journey. I have overcome my depression and decided to continue to travel and make videos. I travel to make new friends, have fun, experience different cultures and live life to the fullest.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My struggles were my depression. I just wanted to be far away from home so I would just take off to another country and learn on the fly. It was exciting and distracting.

Another struggle was that I started editing all my video content on my phone because I didn’t have any other way to edit. This took me forever to finish one video.

I have upgraded to better equipment these days. Looking back now, I was crazy for editing on my phone. Any normal person would have quit.

Tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a Travel Vlogger and I show my viewers locations I stay, info about transportation and places to visit.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Continue to travel and explore more of this beautiful world we live in.
