Meet Joanna Pallante of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joanna Pallante

Hi Joanna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in NYC and worked on Wall Street in my twenties. I retired by age 29 and had invested in real estate by 24. I wanted a change from the NYC hustle and bustle, so I relocated to San Diego before I turned 30 and settled in LA without a career or real connections to the West Coast. I had always worked since I was 14 years old, but I finally took some time off to figure things out and reinvent the wheel. I got my California real estate license in 2013, took some acting classes, and got a SAG card to explore my creative side. I worked with The Oppenheim Group and was almost a cast member of the Selling Sunset TV show before switching to The Altman Brothers Team. I spent about five years being single and on the dating scene in LA. In 2018, I met my husband, real estate developer Roman James, at a Million Dollar Listing TV show filming at a home he built. We now share a daughter, Lily Grace, who was born via IVF. I am working on a blog and coaching program to help other women achieve their family goals via IVF and holistic health practices that helped me on my pregnancy journey.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I was used to having a big family and social circle when I was in my prime career days in NYC. I moved to LA with no job, family, or true friends. It took me at least five years to establish myself in those arenas. There were many lonely days, but I trusted the process, knowing this was where I was supposed to be. In retrospect, I stayed in some toxic relationships longer than I should have because I was lonely. I want to help others realize that it’s okay to be alone and that there are so many ways to improve yourself when you have no distractions. Once you have a family and children, it gets hard to do everything you can when you have lots of freedom!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I sell luxury real estate with The Altman Brothers Team and film for Million Dollar Listing LA occasionally. I worked my way up from a $200,000 condo sale in 2013 to closing a $23,000,000 property in Newport Coast this year. I primarily work with referrals and repeat clients, so I don’t specialize in one area. I give all my clients my undivided attention and have a strong work ethic, so the client experience means much more to me than the commission. Motherhood has been my biggest accomplishment and also the most challenging journey. I have a new respect for working parents, single parents, and anyone blessed with the joy of raising a child! I want to share my experience and tips for others who are struggling or seeking inspiration on the journey, so I am focused on building videos and a new website for family, wellness, and lifestyle.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
My new website is under construction and will be full of resources to empower women to achieve their dream family life through holistic choices and wellness.
