Today we’d like to introduce you to Jesus Juarez.
Jesus, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I myself J.Bless came across rap at the age of eight & started writing rhymes since then & instantly fell in love with the arts of Poetry. My older relative at that age would tell me that if I kept writing I could make something of it as long as I believed. Life wasn’t easy coming from a broken home. As far as I could remember as a kid I’d always rap my raps to my friends. Times were hard at those times from getting evicted from place to place that we lived in to not having food to eat at times and having to steal food so my mom and smaller Sisters could eat. I learned to cope with problems through music.
I remember that right After High school I had the choice to go to school and pursue the ordinary lifestyle or chase a Goal/Dream that I believed in. Months after I graduated from High School my relative got murdered on a Friday Night. Which changed my life and perspective of music, knowing he was someone who truly believed music was a gift of mine. At that moment when he passed away, I was homeless with no places of my own. Pops was going heavy on the drinking & I had had to stand for my younger siblings at the moment & help out the best I could. That incident & Those cold nights turned into motivation and inspired me to follow something that seemed so impossible to reach. I Saved some money after that and got myself a small portable music studio. Then started writing & recording about my motivations and Pain.
As people reached out and told me to keep going, it became more than just a Dream but also a purpose. I had no help at that time when I first dropped music. I was just releasing it in hopes that ppl would hear it and like it. The community was supporting but I need a bit more to catch a big break. Around that time my family was struggling with bills and money as it’s common in every house household where I live in. I still managed to believed. I then had a close friend tell me he’d be willing to Help me chase this Goal because he as well believed in me as much as I did. From then with his help, I released a video that goes by “Listen Close” in 2016 which was filmed and edited by LA Eyekon, a close friend of his which led to my big local outbreak.
My community and rooted area in which I grew up in has been supporting me since. I planted the thought in my head that my dream can someday be real. Which is what led me to Represent “DreamzAreReal” in hopes I could inspire people who could relate or support me to believe that you & anyone can Accomplish anything they want to no matter what they are going thru. The road hasn’t been easy but it’s built a solid team that supports me. Through all those times and life lessons I struggled finding the way I was supposed to move for not having my head right but through those times I had good ppl and a good team with a solid support system that helped me keep going. Fast forward to now 2019, I just dropped my latest album “Dream Big” which is a reflection of my good times and bad times & recently releasing music videos with consistency & much more on the way. I now see the vision & dream more clean that I’ve ever seen it. Thanks to everyone who’s supported along the way. I’ve learned that from a bad situation can always come a Great outcome. And always believe and know it’s more than okay to Dream the biggest you can
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s hasn’t been a smooth road at all. Along the way, there’s been ups & downs. But through those ups and downs, there’s been lessons learned which have led to the position of today. Can’t complain because at the end if you really want something done you can’t quit but remain consistent. It’s been a rough road but I have to keep perusing because music is literally all I have.
Dreamz Are Real – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The company is named “Dreamz Are Real” & it’s run by a team in where each individual has their own role & position on how to make the Company progress. The Team was built with time. I’m one of the Artist/Rapper of the company. I specialize myself on rapping & making music for the company since it’s a music company. What I’m most proud of about the company is that it’s remained self-made & independently progressing into something bigger. What sets the company apart from other companies is that We authentic & real, as well as being built from the ground up & we give back to show ppl it’s possible to accomplishment something from nothing.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
The definition of success to me is to be able to say you’ve made something of your self bigger that the ordinary. For example to accomplish something you worked hard for and to obtain it and better yourself and life & anyone around you. My criteria is to reach success with everyone who supported me & has helped me reach what I have reached at the moment & remain growing & succeeding.
