Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessika.
Jessika, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My inspiration for creating this company came from my seven-year-old Son Makai Steppes, who is a very successful Child Actor/Model. My son was signed to his agency in 2016 at the age of four years old. Within three months, he booked his first print job, and a month later he booked a National Commercial, as well as a host of other jobs he has done.
He is also an active member of the SAG/AFTRA Actors union. Due to his success in the industry, a lot of parents have contacted me and expressed interest in getting their child started; which is how “The Next Steppes Kidz Consulting” was born.
Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely has not been an easy ride nor a smooth road. The entertainment industry is one of the main industries that people get scammed out of thousands of dollars in hopes of their child becoming rich and famous. Many parents who come to us express that they are afraid to move forward with us because they have already been scammed. We just let our success rate and referrals from previous clients do the talking.

The Next Steppes Kidz is a Modeling/Acting Consulting Firm that specializes in linking aspiring talent with legit talent agents. We start by submitting the child (ages 0-12) to multiple talent agencies depending on their state. Once we receive a response, we connect the parent and the agent. Our job is not done after this. We continue to help shape/mold the client as they explore the entertainment industry. As a company, we are most proud of getting over 30 kids signed to legit talent agencies. The thing that sets us apart from others is our personal knowledge of the industry since our CEO has a child who is currently involved.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Absolutely! Los Angeles (as well as New York) has the best market for auditions. If it were more affordable, we would tell everyone to start their career here! There are just so many opportunities.
