Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up always innately interested in spirituality and what lies within the layers of our existence that remain unseen, but it wasn’t until the last decade that I started to take my discoveries and knowledge I had acquired and share it with others. I started my business, Spirit Explorations, while I was living in Asia. While I was living there, I continued to learn more about Eastern traditions, meditation practices and Kundalini Reiki – it was a beautiful patchwork of experiences! A couple of years later, I moved to LA and got certified as a hypnotherapist, specializing in Past Life Regression therapy. It’s been life-changing! Discovering our soul’s eternal journey throughout various lifetimes has been an amazing experience for me and (I believe) for many others I have worked with too! The most significant impact it has, at least from my perspective, is that it has a profound way of teaching us more about compassion as you have the opportunity to “walk in the shoes” of those who are different than who we appear or know to be today.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As many others on a similar same path, I experienced some ups and downs – but I believe the struggles along the way are just tests to see how passionate and committed we are to something and it’s how we continue to persist and go forward is what matters the most.
One of my challenges was to move my business from Asia to the US. Despite being American, I had never lived in LA before and I basically had to re-establish myself all over again upon my arrival. Everything was new for me so it felt like I had to build my business from the bottom up once again, find a new office space, network to meet new people, and concurrently do some additional non-related work on the side to keep myself afloat to tackle the expenses of this city! It’s rare that I’ll have a whole day off to myself these days– but the consistent effort is paying off!
Another issue I often encounter is that some people are either hesitant or skeptical about hypnosis. Unfortunately, we have to give some blame to Hollywood for this as it’s not always portrayed in the best light in some of the movies out there. Rest assured, it is safe to do under the guidance of a qualified professional and is also an effective tool for many people. I love when people put their fears aside and their curiosity is piqued enough to try it and then they leave my office in awe – many people report back it’s much more profound than they were originally expecting!
Spirit Explorations – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I established Spirit Explorations while living in Singapore back in 2017, I started off first doing Akashic Record Readings for others. The Akashic Records, for those who are unfamiliar with them, are recorded vibrations (essentially memories of the collective consciousness) along with individual souls’ energetic footprints from their origin throughout their journey of lifetimes. It is best accessible through the state of meditation and is a great source to go to in order to tap into new sparks of creativity; but more importantly, they are here to offer us guidance and insight from new perspectives if needed.
What I specialize in and am most appreciated for at the moment is Spiritual Hypnotherapy, Past Life Regression Therapy Sessions in particular. Past Life Regressions, exploring previous lifetimes using the process of hypnosis, is an eye-opening process (even if your eyes are technically closed at the time!) because you get to know your whole-self better, or in other words “your soul-self,” who you are, who you have been and who you can become. Past Life Regressions, and hypnotherapy itself, allows us to gain insight into relevant past events, resolve emotions, limiting beliefs and reinforce change often much faster than traditional therapy.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
It seems most of my clients are those who work in Hollywood or other creative fields of influence. Some have been so inspired by their experiences while working with me, especially with Past Life Regression sessions, that it has played an important role in the development of their art or books and film scripts being written. It’s an exciting process to be part of!
I also really enjoy facilitating Past Life Regression Parties. It’s a unique occasion for many and it’s amazing to hear everyone connecting and sharing their stories after having a session. The conversations are like no others! It’s quite memorable not only for them but for me, too! I feel especially grateful when I see them enlightened with new and valuable realizations. It’s a very rewarding profession overall.
