Meet JeRonelle

Today we’d like to introduce you to JeRonelle.

JeRonelle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up as the kid that always loved to sing and be the center of attention. Whether at school, church, or even at family functions, I was always aiming to engage and entertain whoever would listen. As I got older, my passion for music took me from my hometown of Omaha, all the way to Atlanta, GA, where I studied music in college and also began to pursue a music career. The four years I spent in Atlanta proved to be valuable, but I knew there was yet more work ahead, so I made the decision to move to LA in 2016 immediately after graduation. This past May marked three years of living life and chasing my dreams on the West Coast.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Navigating a career in the music industry is never easy, especially living in a city like LA. Because of the influx of artists and creatives all vying for attention, it’s easy to get depressed, discouraged, and distracted due to focusing on someone else’s blessings instead of your own. As a creative, it’s important to have a support system around you that lifts you up. I’m thankful for family, friends, and a community of fellow musicians who keep me focused, cheer me on, and want to see me succeed even when I’m at my lowest.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with your work– tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others?
Over the past year, thousands around the country have come to know me for my time competing on Season 2 of FOX’s ‘The Four,’ Although I’ve been a performer for the past several years, appearing on ‘The Four’ opened up a new world of opportunities and put me on a major, televised platform. I believe what set me apart (both as a contestant on The Four, and as an artist) is my passion for my craft, my authenticity, and my work ethic. I may not have a manager or be signed to a label at the moment, but I’m determined not to let that stop me from continuing to work towards this dream.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
This past June, I dropped my 2nd EP called ‘Vulnerable’ which went on to peak at #43 on the iTunes R&B charts. I’m humbled and honored that so many people showed their support and purchased the project. I’m working on putting together a visual to accompany one or two of the songs from the project. I also have a couple live shows coming up in LA and select cities throughout the remainder of 2019.
