Meet Jenny Damage of Little Damage in Downtown LA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenny Damage.

Jenny, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My favorite dessert is ice cream and favorite color is black! I wanted to market my favorite dessert with a new and unique approach, hence black ice cream.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The toughest obstacle for us was in the early stages of opening the shop, because lines were out the door! For a small shop, it was pretty overwhelming and unexpected. However, the people are so kind and patient waiting for ice cream – we love and appreciate the support! We guarantee you, it is definitely worth the wait!

Little Damage – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We specialize in black ice cream and black waffle cones! Rather than offering a conventional selection, we offer unique recipes that allow you step outside of your comfort zone and get a little adventurous. Don’t be surprised if you take a trip down memory lane while licking your cone of soft serve ice cream!

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is quality, aesthetics, ambiance, and most importantly the customer’s experience. I am always pushing for new ideas and flavors for all ice cream lovers to come try!

Pricing:

  • $6 – Soft Serve Ice Cream
  • $1 – Charcoal Waffle Cone
