Meet Jennifer Elmas of TFL Entertainment in Marina del Rey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Elmas.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jennifer. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I’ve always been fascinated with culture and travel, and my goal was to create travel shows since I was 18. I’m originally from Lebanon, but I moved to LA to get a Masters’ Degree in Production from the American Film Institute. After graduating, I started a production company that specializes in creating content related to my favorite passions: travel, fashion, and luxury living.

Being fluent in four languages helped increase my chances of getting jobs worldwide, and so far we have shot in over 25 countries. Despite the fact that my travel shows have different concepts, we always offer our audience a list of hidden gems in every location. My favorite part about my job is that I educate the audience on cultural experiences worldwide, while simultaneously encouraging tourism.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has most certainly not been smooth. There have been months when we are swamped with work, and others when we have no jobs lined up. We deal with a lot of rejection on the daily, but I’ve learned that persistence and hard work are essential to keep the business going. Despite all the struggles, it’s been worth it since we are doing what we love most.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the TFL Entertainment story. Tell us more about the business.
TFL Entertainment full-service commercial and branded video content production company. Specializing in travel, fashion, and luxury. Our creative team members have decades of experience in film, commercials, and television, and includes award-winning directors, writers, producers, and editors.

With a wide range of styles, unique personalities, and perspectives, we have the ability to approach any project with the perfect set of creatives to bring your content to life. We are most proud of the variety of excellent content we have shot worldwide, and the fact that our commercials have helped increase the sales of all our clients.

Our travel shows expose the audience to hidden gems they never knew existed, and we definitely avoid the mundane. What sets us apart from others, is that we like to do everything that’s off the beaten path in a luxurious manner.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I personally don’t believe in luck as much as I believe in the efficiency of hard work. I think that being obsessed with what you do is important, and that persistence is essential despite all the defeats we deal with on the daily. We’ve had a lot of bad luck while shooting abroad, especially in third world countries.

Every bad experience has been a very beneficial lesson, and all the struggles helped us become better equipped for dealing with different circumstances while filming worldwide.
