Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Cagle.
Jennifer, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
In 2014 I learned of vaginal steaming aka yoni steaming and I was oddly intrigued by the purported benefits it promised for women’s sexual, reproductive, and postpartum health. I had suffered from a rare condition in my first pregnancy as a teen mom called, placenta accreta which rendered life threatening complications during delivery.
My first experience with childbirth was painful and terrifying, as you can imagine. Consequentially, I would go on to suffer from uterine fibrosis, and cystic ovaries in my early twenties which are essentially tissue overgrowths, and fluid sacs on the surface of the uterus and ovaries. So learning of this treatment and how it would allow me to care for and nurture my womb really intrigued me.
My first time trying a V-steam treatment was less than ideal, but the difference I felt was undeniable. I eventually started using the treatment regularly in the privacy of my own home, as a self-care regimen. Over time, I noticed my menstrual cycle regulated, and my uterine health improved significantly. Determined to further understand the use of herbal medicine, I began studying Herbalism for Women’s Health and Wellness along with other naturopathic healing modalities. I was eager to adopt more natural healing modalities and healthy habits into my lifestyle. It was not an initial goal of mine to create a business per se, around what I was doing for my personal health. However, once I became so avid about the efficacy of vaginal steaming but easily became a passion. Every woman around me, family and friends were victims to my non-stop ranting and raving about the V Steam, long before it was a trending topic. Eventually, I started creating custom herbal formulations for people to either steam within an at-home setup or soak within a warm bath. When word of mouth got around that the herbs were effective for managing certain feminine health issues, my phone would ring non stop.
In 2015, I decided to go into business for myself, and I founded V Spa in Las Vegas, NV. Although California was home to me, I felt the need to plant the seed exactly where I was. The interesting thing about the LV market is there are a lot of women and a lot of people visiting. So this market was very lucrative for me to get a start in. Vaginal Steam treatments was a very fresh concept when I started out. However, personal changes and a little addition to my family required a big move back home to Sunny California in late 2016. Where Vaginal Steaming was still not a very popular treatment; in fact, less women were enthusiastic and open to it. However, I stayed the course and was very determined to bring this amazing natural healing modality to the sophisticated, health-conscious, most discerning of women.
The V Spa collaborated with a medical spa in Studio City, CA, in 2018, and we are proud to bring light to be holistic and natural spa treatments, alongside trendy aesthetic and cosmetic procedures.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I definitely have not had the smoothest journey. The biggest challenges for me were having patience and believing in myself when no one saw my vision but me. Staying the course is the hardest thing to do. For over a year, my business was in stealth mode because of personal obligations to my family. In that year, I received hundreds of calls, inquiries, and business opportunities that I had to dismiss. However, I held steadfast to my vision. I never once doubted my potential because I knew the intent and impact of the work I had set out to do. Moreover, I understood the importance of timing and position.
Another challenge was watching new, similar business come on the scene and use our images or online content to market themselves. I dealt with this by understanding that V Spa was a trendsetting brand and very influential to our audience. I accepted our place of leadership in a very new industry as opposed to feeling any other company was a threat or competition. I know that customers will always recognize authenticity, and integrity-I don’t have to prove it. To me, the bigger picture is creating a sense of community in women’s entrepreneurship.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The V Spa – what should we know?

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The qualities most important to the success of my organization are very simple passion and integrity. These two things I value mostly because, with passion, you can do what you love and enjoy naturally to the highest level. With integrity, you will do what you love, with honor, diligence, and respect for self and those you serve.
