Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazelle Morales.
Hi Jazelle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
From the time she was four years old, Jazelle Morales was captivated by the ritual of beauty. She remembers standing beside her father as he shaved, watching the soft swirl of shaving cream and feeling the gentle texture of the brush in her small hand. There was something magical in that moment, the artistry, the rhythm, the transformation. It was the first time she felt connected to the power of a brush, and though she couldn’t have known it then, it would become the foundation of her life’s work.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Jazelle grew up surrounded by creativity and self-expression. After completing makeup school, she booked her very first photoshoot through Facebook, a spontaneous opportunity that would unknowingly launch her career. The experience of seeing how lighting, photography, and makeup could capture emotion and reveal confidence left a lasting impression.
Her early work quickly evolved when a family connection introduced her to the world of glamour modeling. A cousin’s friend, featured in Maxim and FHM, asked Jazelle to do her makeup for a shoot. Watching her transform under the camera’s gaze was a defining moment. The energy, confidence, and femininity that came alive on set solidified Jazelle’s passion for beauty as both an art form and a form of empowerment.
From there, she began collaborating with photographers who shot for Playboy, Swimsuit, and Fitness Girl Magazine, traveling across borders for major projects, including a swimsuit competition in Mexico where she worked on hundreds of women. It was there that she discovered the deeper purpose behind her work the way beauty can connect, uplift, and unite women through shared transformation.
But as her artistry evolved, so did her vision. Jazelle realized that while makeup can create magic, true radiance begins with the skin. This revelation led her back to school to become a licensed esthetician, a decision that opened the next chapter of her career. Through skincare, she found not only her purpose but her peace.
Over time, her journey became one of reinvention, both personally and professionally. After years of success under her original brand, Love Sick Cosmetics, Jazelle felt an undeniable pull toward transformation. In late 2024, she began rebranding to Jovian Skincare, officially launching it in 2025 while relocating from Los Angeles to Huntington Beach. It was a bold decision that reflected a higher vision of beauty one rooted in elevation, clarity, and cosmic energy.
The name Jovian carries deep meaning. Inspired by the planet Jupiter and the expansive spirit of Sagittarius, it represents abundance, wisdom, and renewal. For Jazelle, it symbolizes not just a brand but a rebirth, a reflection of her own evolution and the abundance she strives to inspire in others.
Her personal growth mirrors her professional transformation. Nearly nine years sober, Jazelle often shares that her recovery became the foundation for her clarity and creativity. It taught her discipline, resilience, and the importance of leading from authenticity.
Today, from her studio in Huntington Beach, Jazelle continues to blend beauty, spirituality, and science through her brand, Jovian Skincare. Each treatment she performs is an intentional experience designed to help clients reconnect with their inner light. Her story is one of artistry, rebirth, and devotion, proof that when purpose and passion align, beauty becomes something far greater than skin deep.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The path to success has been anything but linear for Jazelle Morales. Behind the elegance of her artistry and the serenity of her spa in Huntington Beach lies a story of deep personal transformation. One of her greatest challenges wasn’t a business setback or financial obstacle, but a spiritual awakening, the moment she realized that in order to rise, she had to completely realign her life.
In her early years as a makeup artist, the fast-paced world of photoshoots, nightlife, and celebrity events often blurred into a constant cycle of socializing and celebration. “It became one big party,” she recalls. “At some point, I realized I had lost my why.” That realization marked a turning point. Jazelle made the decision to stop drinking, a choice that would completely redefine her path, both as a woman and as an entrepreneur.
Sobriety became the bridge between who she was and who she was meant to become. Through clarity, she rediscovered her purpose — not just creating beauty for others, but embodying it from within. It was through that stillness that she began to build the foundation for what would later become Jovian Skincare.
Years later, while working on set for a television production, the lesson came full circle. Surrounded once again by the chaos of long hours, missed lines, and on-set drinking, she saw a reflection of the life she had chosen to leave behind. “That’s when I knew I had outgrown that world,” she says. “It just wasn’t in alignment with who I am anymore.”
Her decision to relocate from Los Angeles to Huntington Beach symbolized a final act of clarity. Trading late nights for ocean mornings, Jazelle chose peace, purpose, and presence over pace. “Being by the ocean has taught me stillness,” she shares. “It reminded me that growth doesn’t always happen in chaos, sometimes it happens in calm.”
Like any entrepreneur, she faced the challenges of starting over in a new city, rebuilding a clientele, and trusting that her name and reputation would follow her. But through it all, she returned to her guiding mantra: remember your why.
That grounding philosophy now defines not just her business, but her life. Through Jovian Skincare, she’s created a space where transformation is not just seen in the mirror, but felt in the soul, a reflection of the journey she’s taken to get there.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Jovian Skincare isn’t just about glowing skin, it’s a celestial experience of transformation. Founded by esthetician and energy practitioner Jazelle Morales, the brand was born from a desire to bridge the worlds of beauty and spirituality. Rooted in astrology and guided by intention, Jovian Skincare offers a new dimension of self-care where each treatment becomes a ritual of alignment, healing, and renewal.
The name Jovian draws inspiration from the planet Jupiter, the celestial ruler of abundance, growth, and wisdom. It represents expansion, both of the skin and the spirit. Every detail within the brand, from the cosmic-inspired design to the element-based facials, reflects this philosophy of elevated transformation.
At her Huntington Beach studio inside Salon Republic, Jazelle has created a sanctuary where modern skincare meets soul work. Each treatment begins with stillness, a moment to pause, breathe, and ground. For many clients, that starts with a gentle tarot card pull, setting the intention for their session and tuning in to what their energy is asking for. From there, Jazelle intuitively chooses the facial element that aligns with the client’s current state, Earth, Air, Fire, or Water. Each representing a different aspect of renewal and balance.
The Earth Facial grounds and nourishes, connecting clients back to their center. Air uplifts and oxygenates, bringing clarity and lightness to the skin. Fire ignites transformation, stimulating renewal and glow. Water soothes and restores, allowing the skin and spirit to flow with ease. Every treatment is guided by astrology, intuition, and the natural rhythms of the body and universe.
Alongside her signature Elemental Facials, Jovian Skincare offers advanced modalities such as HydraFacials, ProCell Microchanneling, Dermaplaning, BioRePeel, and the AstroDome Oxygen Facial, a Korean innovation that infuses the skin with oxygen, LED light, and celestial energy for ultimate rejuvenation. Each service is a blend of cutting-edge science and cosmic intention, offering results that are both visible and vibrational.
Astrology remains the heartbeat of the brand. It isn’t a theme, it’s the language of Jovian Skincare. Each service, product, and ritual is designed to help clients understand themselves on a deeper level, aligning their outer glow with their inner frequency. Clients can even begin their journey with the Elemental Skin Quiz, a digital experience that reveals their dominant zodiac element and guides them toward the facial that resonates most with their energy.
What truly sets Jovian apart is the way it makes people feel. Clients leave not only radiant, but reconnected, to their essence, to their purpose, and to their light.
As Jazelle often says, “Your soul already recognizes the door.” Jovian Skincare is simply where you step through it.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
For Jazelle Morales, mentorship has never been about hierarchy, it’s about energy, alignment, and shared purpose. In an industry built on connection, she believes that finding the right mentor begins with understanding yourself.
“Mentorship isn’t just about learning someone’s techniques,” she says. “It’s about finding someone who sees your vision and challenges you to grow into it.” Throughout her career, Jazelle has been guided by artists, educators, and spiritual teachers who helped her refine both her craft and her character. Some were in the beauty industry, others came from completely different paths, but all shared one common thread: authenticity.
Her study of Kabbalah has profoundly shaped the way she approaches mentorship and relationships. Through that spiritual lens, she’s learned that everyone who crosses your path is a teacher, some guide you toward your potential, while others reflect where you still need growth. “Kabbalah taught me that energy doesn’t lie,” she explains. “When you meet someone whose light matches your own, that’s alignment, and that’s where true mentorship begins.”
What has worked best for her is staying open and receptive, asking questions, and being willing to listen deeply. Jazelle often emphasizes that the best mentors don’t always arrive labeled as such. Sometimes they appear as clients, collaborators, or even moments of challenge that teach invaluable lessons.
Networking, for her, has evolved far beyond business cards or social media exchanges. It’s about building genuine relationships rooted in shared values and mutual respect. She finds that the most meaningful opportunities come when you show up authentically, not to impress, but to connect.
Now, as a seasoned esthetician and founder, Jazelle naturally finds herself mentoring others. Whether speaking at beauty schools, guiding new estheticians, or simply sharing her story, she sees mentorship as a sacred exchange of energy. “When you reach a point where your light is steady,” she says, “you have a responsibility to help others find theirs.” For Jazelle, mentorship is no longer just about mastery. It’s about awakening — within yourself, and in those you inspire.
