Meet Jason Kozma of Santa Monica Personal Training

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Kozma.

Jason, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up in Wisconsin and wasn’t the most fit kid but my brother was lifting weights and he started training me when I was in my teens. I wanted to do everything my older brother Joe was doing, and once I got the training bug, there was no stopping me. I started training for body building competitions in the 90’s and winning titles including the prestigious Mr. America in 2004. People wanted to know how I achieved my results and that brought me into channeling my experience and knowledge into a career training clients so they too can achieve their individual fitness goals.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s never a smooth road. We all hit the bumps. For me, early roadblocks were getting the clients. I started before the Internet and social media. When the Internet became widely used, I instinctively knew it was the future of advertising. When I created my first website to recruit clients, it solved many issues for me because people were able to find me online.

Please tell us about Santa Monica Personal Training.
I’m known for my custom body transformation program, a unique combination of resistance training, fat-burning cardio workouts and balanced nutrition using whole foods. My clients tell me that they appreciate my no-nonsense, no gimmick approach to nutrition and it helps them make smart choices.

I take pride in helping my clients drop pounds, improve their form and lose the inches but what makes me happiest is to see the transformation in their personal lives brought by consistent workouts and proper nutrition.

What sets me apart is that I don’t “promise” results, I guarantee them. My program is not one-size-fits-all, I’m serious about helping my clients transform. I will push you, educate you and help you create the body you always wanted. Just look at my before and after photo gallery on my site, https://smpersonaltraining.com/

It’s also important to know that I don’t just train clients, I train trainers and athletes.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have found a way to pioneer newer technologies for sites and apps beyond personal training.
