Meet Jason Kim of Sleepersallday in Rowland Heights

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Kim.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My dream was to make it to the NBA but I soon realized that it was going to happen being my height of 5’6. 😂😂😂

So I soon figured out a way to infuse social media and my dream. I started a basketball/sports page on Instagram called “sleepersallday” highlighting “slept on” talent and also relatable memes.

It’s been a great two years and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon!

Last summer we had an interview at the Drew League with LaVar Ball during the time he got kicked off ESPN and at that point is when we started to blow up.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Nothing is ever smooth. There is no such thing as perfect and it will never be easy.

Yes, struggles were there but when you’re doing something you absolutely truly love.. you start to enjoy the journey and the process.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Sleepersallday – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a sports media/news company highlight slept on talent!!

As a company, we are most proud of bringing the sports crowd together. A lot of the media brands only talk about the big dogs and superstar players.. yet the smaller market athletes don’t get the attention they deserve and that’s also what sets us apart from others.

We’re trying to give credit where it’s due.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
In the near future, we do want to start managing athletes and possibly start a sports agency but for now, we are happy where we’re at 🙂
