Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Brown.
Jamie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started by pure accident in 1995. I discovered an error on my credit profile and challenged it with the credit bureaus. As a result, it was deleted. This was very intriguing so I began helping others with their issues as well. The demand for credit counseling grew. I decided to pursue this business full time and left corporate America in 2001.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a smooth ride for the most part because good credit is very essential. Once I aligned my self with other businesses who depend on the credit of their clients, it was easy. They refer clients to us on a regular basis.
Brown’s Financial Services Inc. – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a credit counseling organization. We specialize in credit repair, business formations (i.e., corporations, LLC’s), business credit, debt settlements and score building. We are industry leaders because of our top-notch customer service and knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). We charge a fair price and don’t string clients along with endless monthly fees.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I’m proud of what we do daily because we help people and give them hope.
