Meet James aka PACIFICA

Today we’d like to introduce you to James aka PACIFICA.

James aka PACIFICA

James, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello! My name is James, better known as PACIFICA. I make creative pop music.

Last year, I moved from snowy upstate NY to SD, and currently, I’m working on PACIFICA’s first album, “IAMPACIFICA ☮︎ VOL 1”.

The first three singles PCH 🙂 7777 and 1104 have been released with another one coming on 1/26.

Living out west has provided much-needed inspo and resources for me 🙂 Happy to be here!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course! Ups and downs are a part of the journey!

Being an artist has its challenges. You have to become your biggest fan.

I’ve learned failure is the way forward, and the person you become doing the work is more important than the end goal.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a guitarist/songwriter/producer and vocalist- started the music journey writing songs on guitar and inevitably got into making computer music.

PACIFICA’s debut album, IAMPACIFICA ☮︎ VOL. 1 (out summer 2024), is the first project that showcases the full range of my abilities. The first three tracks (PCH 🙂 7777 and 1104) blend indie with hyper pop in a pop format.

Getting back to my guitar roots, track 4 will be PACIFICA’s first acoustic track leading into the second half of the record (which dabbles in a plethora of styles, including pop-punk and rap).

One comment I receive most often is that PACIFICA gives the listener an incredible sense of peace 🙂

Music has always been there for me, grateful I get the chance to return the favor creatively!

The energy, limitless creativity, and positivity found in PACIFICA’s catalog are unmatched in the pop landscape.

Stoked to show planet Earth what I can do ☮︎

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Always believe in yourself.

Make the art you want to FEEL, HEAR and SEE.

Detach from results; good things take time!!
