Meet Jaime Zeluck Hindlin of Nonstop Management in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaime Zeluck Hindlin.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jaime. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I developed an appreciation for music as a child. Regular trips to the CD store fostered this lifelong passion as I obsessed over classic nineties soundtracks, ranging from Clueless and Empire Records to American Pie and The Bodyguard. While attending Syracuse University, I spent summers interning at record labels. Upon graduation, I interned at Warner Bros. Records which then turned into a full-time assistant gig in A&R for the late Craig Aaronson. I went on to work at CAA before eventually accepting a job at Sony ATV in 2011. After two years in publishing, An indie publisher hired me to come and be one of their A&Rs to develop their existing roster and sign new acts.

In 2017, during the birth of my first child I suffered from heart failure and nearly lost my life. After that life changing moment, I wasn’t able to work for a while- and when I was finally able to again, I decided I didn’t want to work for anyone anymore and wanted to be my own boss.

In 2018, I founded Nonstop Management. My company’s current client roster incorporates a diverse group of well-known songwriters and producers across multiple genres including JKASH, Michael Pollack (Maroon 5, LAUV, Charli XCX), Jake Torrey (Andy Grammar, Kygo/ One Republic, BTS) Nick Long (King Princess, Machine Gun Kelly), Sam Farrar (of Maroon 5), RYANN ( Tate McRae, Ryan Riback) amongst others.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, and it took me a while to get to where I am today. Aside from the typical crazy things you encounter in the music business, and literally starting from the bottom with three different assistant jobs – I also struggled with a lot of personal stuff, all at the same time while growing my career. I have overcome drug addiction, the loss of a child late in my pregnancy, and then suffered heart failure while giving birth to my daughter.

Please tell us about your music.
We specialize in managing some of the best writers and producers in the music business. The people behind the songs you hear all over the world. Songwriting / producer management is a very niche job, and something we are very good at because I have worked with songwriters now for nine years. It’s a very specific job. There are so many politics, ways to handle things, ways to get things done, that a lot of other people in the business don’t know how to handle. It’s just something you learn while being around songwriters 24/7. They are sensitive, amazingly talented people and handling their art, their song babies – is something it takes a while to learn how to do.

So, we are very good at that. I have made it a point to train the incredible team that works for me that way. Some would say I am too particular, but that’s what I think sets us apart from the rest. It’s all how you do it and how you say it. And its ALL about your relationships. I think my relationships with people are also what sets us apart. I have worked for a really long time at developing those throughout my career and knowing how to utilize them to the best of my ability while also growing our writers/producer’s careers. And we are also like a family. I treat everyone we work with like they are a part of my own.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Well… I would definitely say, bad luck, more so than good luck, has been something I have encountered through my life and business. Today I am very lucky. But the bad luck I had for a few years only pushed me to work harder and focus more on achieving my goals. It made me not want to stop.
