Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaden D’Amico.
Hi Jaden, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I never planned on becoming “The Plumber Man.” My story is really just a series of chapters where I kept betting on myself, even when things didn’t make sense on paper. I built swimming pools in Nebraska, taught CPR and first aid to childcare providers, moved back to California, became a plumber, started and failed at different businesses, and kept trying again. Every time one door closed, I didn’t sit there and stare at it — I went and built a new one.
Plumbing wasn’t supposed to be my career, but the first time I solved a major problem for a family and saw the relief on their face, something clicked. I realized this wasn’t just “fixing pipes.” It was helping people in some of the most stressful moments in their home. And I took that seriously.
When I started The Plumber Man, Inc., it was just me, a truck, and a mission to build a company that actually cared — not the typical transactional kind of service, but something memorable. I built the superhero theme because I wanted kids to feel safe during emergencies, and because deep down, I’ve always believed ordinary people can be heroes if they show up with integrity.
I’ve grown the business one honest job at a time, often turning down shortcuts so I could build something I’d be proud of. Today we handle everything from basic plumbing issues to full home repipes, and I’m scaling toward multiple trucks, employees, and eventually franchises. But my real goal is bigger: to create a company that leaves people better than we found them — whether that’s through reliable work, helping seniors who can’t afford repairs, or just showing up with kindness.
My story is still being written, but I’m proud of where it started and even prouder of where it’s going.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has definitely not been smooth. I didn’t come from a family business or have a playbook handed to me — I had to figure everything out the hard way. There were times I was juggling multiple jobs just to keep myself afloat while trying to build something of my own. I’ve started businesses that didn’t take off, put money into ideas that never returned anything, and had moments where I felt like I was starting from zero all over again.
When I launched The Plumber Man, it wasn’t glamorous. I was running calls alone, taking risks with my own savings, learning how to market, price jobs, deal with customers, and build a reputation all at the same time. There were seasons where the phone barely rang, and I questioned if I made the right decision. I’ve made mistakes, underbid jobs, trusted the wrong people, and had to rebuild my confidence more times than I can count.
But every struggle forced me to level up. It taught me patience, discipline, and how to operate with integrity even when no one is watching. It taught me that a business grows at the same speed the owner grows. Looking back, the obstacles were necessary — they shaped the way I run my company today, with honesty, clarity, and a genuine desire to help people.
The journey hasn’t been easy, but I think that’s exactly why it’s meaningful.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Plumber Man?
The Plumber Man, Inc. is a plumbing company built on purpose, pride, and personality. We handle everything from leak detection and drain clearing to full home repipes and water heater installations, but what really sets us apart is the experience behind the work. I created The Plumber Man with the mission of treating every home like it belongs to someone I care about. That mindset has shaped our entire brand.
We’re known for showing up fast, being honest about what a home actually needs, and delivering work that lasts. Homeowners deal with stress, confusion, and panic when plumbing fails — so our job isn’t just to fix the problem, it’s to make people feel taken care of. The superhero theme grew naturally from that idea. Kids get scared during emergencies, so giving them capes, stickers, and a hero they can look up to turns a stressful moment into something positive. Even adults end up loving it because it makes the experience feel human and memorable.
What I’m most proud of brand-wise is the reputation we’re building: clean work, upfront pricing, showing up when we say we will, and treating people fairly. I want The Plumber Man to become a company known not only for skill, but for heart — the kind of business that helps seniors who can’t afford repairs, supports the community, and makes people feel safe inviting us into their homes.
At the end of the day, we don’t just fix plumbing issues — we restore comfort, peace of mind, and trust. That’s what I want readers to know about my brand: we show up like heroes, we work with integrity, and we leave homes and people better than we found them.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I’m big on anything that helps me level up personally or run my business smarter. I listen to a lot of interviews from entrepreneurs who built their companies from nothing — hearing the behind-the-scenes stuff keeps me grounded and motivated. I also pay attention to podcasts where people talk honestly about the struggles of business, not just the highlight reel.
For book-style inspiration, I find myself gravitating toward mindset and discipline content — the kind that focuses on taking responsibility, staying consistent, and pushing through discomfort. And honestly, I use apps like YouTube and Notes more than anything else: YouTube for business talks, plumbing tutorials, and inspiring stories, and Notes because I’m constantly writing ideas, marketing angles, or goals for The Plumber Man.
I’m not someone who sits down with a stack of books every week, but I’m always learning, always listening, and always trying to absorb things that make me a better business owner and a better person.
