Meet Jade Neyroud of Jade Productions in Culver City – Venice Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Neyroud.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jade. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’m not really sure how I started, I know I’ve always loved being creative more than anything else. My dad is an engineer and my mom has always pursued some kind of art on the side. I guess I grew up at the intersection of both.

Choosing my path, the only thing that made sense to me was going into the field of design – I’ve always been intrigued by power of propaganda in art and the relationship between form and function.

Has it been a smooth road?
This early in my career, I’ve just accepted that things won’t be smooth. On the other hand, no matter how crazy 2020 has been, things will never feel as burdensome as 2018-2019 (to me). During that time, I was juggling two rents, finishing school, and working at a marketing company in the Inland Empire. Designing for the company was an amazing experience, but struggling to make ends meet while trying to finish school was a huge obstacle. My life felt like a google map of the 10 Freeway. Eventually, I realized I needed to get out of the Inland Empire. I needed to find a place that offered much more creative diversity and opportunity. In 2019, I packed up my stuff and moved to LA, where I could belong, thrive and launch myself creatively. Anyways, now that I’m here, things are so much better – I’m surrounded by so much optimism and amazing people who just “go for it,” which is so crucial to have. There will be so many more rough spots, but I’m ready to take it on. I love what I do and wouldn’t wish to be anywhere else.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Jade Productions story. Tell us more about the business.
I’ve barely just started putting myself out there, but right now, I’m doing a lot of brand and website development. Aside from that, my skill set is pretty “multidisciplinary” –  I’m a sprinkle of 2D and 3D illustration, brand development, front-end coding, photography and good old layout design. I really enjoy building things from the ground up; From prototype to product, my goal is to bring your ideas to life.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
As our reliance on technology progresses, so does our need for design. Every day, products are developed to solve pains we didn’t even know we had. This is especially relevant when we consider how life has changed with stay-at-home orders. We rely on technology to replace our basic tasks more than ever. Applications replace our grocery shopping, our dining experiences, our workplaces, you name it. As tasks continue to get automated, the need for people to get to find problems and design solutions will grow. Whether we realize it or not, so much of our activities are facilitated by well-designed user experiences. UX UI will be a constant as long as we rely on technology, and design will go hand-in-hand with technological advancement.
