Meet Jacqueline Spiros of Malibu West Beach Club

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Spiros.

Malibu West Beach Club is a private beach club that is owned by a small private neighborhood on the land side of Pacific Coast Highway. The beach is for homeowners to have a private beach while I rent out the clubhouse for events like weddings and special occasions.

Recently the beach club has gone through extensive remodeling and is more beautiful, functional and special then it has ever been.

We are located on arguably one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California. Couples getting married at the beach club have the opportunity to be married on our ocean view deck with 180 degree view of the coast that includes Pt. Dume, Catalina Island and Anacapa and Santa Cruz islands.

Once the ceremony is complete the couple is allowed on the sand along with their bridal party for wedding pictures. The deck is then transformed for cocktail hour that typically concludes with the sun casting its beautiful sunset as it dips below the sea.

After cocktail hour guest enter the reception room with it’s driftwood colored wood floors, twinkle lighted ceiling with Georgette draped walls and crystal chandeliers and dance the night away until 1am.

We offer a very large, ocean view bridal suite for the bride to spend the day with her wedding party getting ready for her special day.

The Malibu West Beach Club is a hidden gem where you can customize your multi million dollar location into the event of your dreams.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
When I first started over 4 years ago the building was in need of extensive repairs and remodeling and business was stagnant at under 50 % of what is now our current revenue.

It took a lot of money and time to bring it back to it’s former glory. With a new roof and exterior painting being completed this winter, the Malibu West Beach Club is a truly iconic building.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
The Malibu West Beach Club specializes in custom weddings on a private beach. I am the events manager. We are known for excellent service and for providing a truly unique wedding experience.

I am most proud of our board of directors who have trusted me to spend hundreds of thousands on remodeling the building and giving me the ability to transform what we do and how we do it which has made us into the very sought after venue that we are today.

What sets us apart is the unique ability to rent a beautiful beach house that can accommodate up to 170 of your guests and yet allows you to customize every aspect of your event.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always working in my family’s business. I did not know anything else.

I was always eager for a challenge and loved creating something new. Taking over the beach club in the shape it was back then and being trusted by the board to bring it up to what it is now has been one of my greatest joys!

I adore start ups. My favorite thing is to take something that is either not working or no longer working and create something that works seamlessly. This opportunity has allowed me to do just that and I have had the time of my life!
