Meet Hye Sung Yun of Contemporary Alternative Medicine, Inc. in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hye Sung Yun.

Dr. Yun graduated from Samra University of Oriental Medicine with a Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2008 and earned her Ph.D. in Oriental Medicine at America Liberty University in 2010. She specializes in Infertility (Ph.D. thesis), Pain control (neck and shoulder, back pain), GI problems (Colitis, Crohn’s disease), Anxiety and Insomnia, And Facial Acupuncture.

She is also a Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Korea and Registered Nurse in New York and California. She was born in Korea and lived and worked there until she emigrated to the U.S. to work at some of the most prestigious hospitals in the country including Cedars Sinai in West Hollywood, CA.

Dr. Yun practices modern, integrated, functional medicine that utilizes the best of natural Eastern medicine philosophy and her foundation of Western Medicine from her past 15-year career as a Nurse and Nurse Anesthetist.

She believes Acupuncture and herbs work as both a great alternative and adjunct treatment modality. Oriental Eastern Medicine that utilizes Acupuncture and Herbs is a safe, effective, and a natural approach to help not only regain but also maintain health and well-being.

Insurance plans being subject to change each year affects our patient’s ability to access the health care they need. We have responded to the loss and reduction of health insurance coverage for acupuncture that some of our patients have faced by creating new service programs such as referral and pre-paid package discounts. We are committed to supporting our patients retain access to the acupuncture treatments they need for their long-term health and wellbeing.
