Today we’d like to introduce you to Gerren and Shanti Hoffman.
Hoffman Transportation was formed in 2016 by Gerren and Shanti Hoffman. The Hoffman’s launched their business by purchasing their first truck and trailer, a Dodge Ram 3500 and Gooseneck trailer. This method of trucking is called Hot Shotting, it is efficient and provided exceptional service to residential and construction customers on the West Coast.
In 2017, The Hoffman’s ventured into the dump trucking industry. Since then, Hoffman Transportation has grown to include a variety of dump trucking services and an excellent network of diverse regional customers and drivers. We made it this far in the industry from great work ethics and being humble, our motto is, “Our employees do not work for us, they work with us!” This will give them hope and inspiration to venture off eventually to start their own company in the future with an everlasting place in their heart for Hoffman Transportation. Hoffman Transportation is not only a trucking company, we are a brand.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has definitely been a love/hate relationship with our company, Hoffman Transportation! For the simple fact we are a married couple with a homeschooled five years old son that works together and still finds time for family vacations and date nights. This venture has had us on the edge of our seats with fear and doubts at times, but we always remember that if we do not treat our company like our marriage it all falls apart, therefore we must make it work, which will make us understand where we stand when situations go wrong and to know how to fix it before it gets out of hand. In addition, we have taken the good with the bad. In conclusion, we have developed a well thought out formula to help not only ourselves in the industry but insure others to feel more comfortable with starting their own trucking companies from our mishaps and lack of knowledge we had from the start of our venture.
