Meet Heather Funk

Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather Funk.

Heather, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today?

When I was 12 years old, I developed an interest in beauty and skincare. I think it came from my mom – she sold Avon and Mary Kay products from the time I was 5. I used to love reading Cosmopolitan and Elle and experimenting with recipes for at-home and natural products. I’d make custom face masks with stuff I’d find around the house: egg whites, yogurt—one time I even tried kitty litter! I loved pampering my friends and making them feel beautiful.

In 2001, I got licensed as an Esthetician and since then I’ve worked in all facets of the industry, from resorts to medical spas to plastic surgery offices. Once I’d gotten that invaluable experience, I decided to branch out on my own. I started small and worked out of my home. A few years later, I outgrew that space and moved my business into a beautiful Beverly Hills bungalow.

Since then I’ve continued to grow the business organically. I find that I don’t have to spend a lot of money on advertising and PR. Most of my business comes from referrals, which is such a gift. It means my clients are happy!

The best part about my job is being able to help people. I have clients who come in saying they have bad skin, but really they just need to make small changes in their routine or in their products. My dream is to start a charity for kids 13 – 17 who have problems with their skin and give them options to help. I think giving kids confidence at that age can change their worlds.

Heather Nicole Specializes focuses on skincare and wellness. We specialize in natural anti-aging remedies and are known for our Organic stem cell therapy, Peels and non-surgical facelifts. I seek out natural and organic products that yield great results. I stand behind all of the products I use – as I use them myself – and I always make sure the client leaves my spa satisfied. Also, I love to arm my clients with tips and tricks they can use on their own so they can always feel and look their best.

Often you’ll find that a spa will offer either results or relaxation, but I like to provide both. We try to maintain an elegant yet Zen vibe for our clients. We aim to make people feel comfortable, pampered and gorgeous.
