Today we’d like to introduce you to Hana Doustar.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Hana. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My interest in Eastern Medicine extends for probably my whole life. My family is from Israel and Iran, where ancient remedies still exist in our day to day health practices. I still have memories of my grandmother putting egg yolk, salt, and turmeric on my broken foot to help the inflammation reduce. I remember my aunt putting garlic oil, egg yolk, and lemon juice in my cousins hair to keep her hair strong and healthy, and boy, does she have amazing hair today. When I was introduced to Chinese Medicine I was blown away. All the natural remedies and herbs that could cure hundreds of symptoms fascinated me. The philosophy of acupuncture, a system of balancing the body and allowing a self-healing process, is the most inspiring way for a person to transform their mind and body.
In my clinic, I work with patients to help them on this deep, personal, transformative process. With acupuncture, herbs, teas, and spiritual therapy, I have seen individuals with chronic pain and chronic anxiety feel unheard of relief.
Has it been a smooth road?
No huge obstacles just yet thank G-d!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Clinic for Pain and Anxiety story. Tell us more about the business.
I founded The Clinic for Pain and Anxiety a little less than a year ago. Our specialty is, of course, pain and anxiety. I believe that what sets us apart from others is our emphasis on personal care. With the medicines holistic approach, treatments are specifically geared to the patient. No patient has the same protocol, especially when it comes to spiritual therapy. My personal guided meditations are what my patients rave most about.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I predict a huge shift in Eastern Medicine in the next 5-10 years, especially in the Los Angeles area when most people are health conscious and there are those who are really trying hard to develop their spiritual and physical health together. Insurance companies are wising up to the fact that Chinese Medicine is the “new” up-and-coming medicine leading the 21st century.
