Meet Hagar Elaziz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hagar Elaziz.

Through her love of fresh florals combined with finding a solution to the age-old problem of dying flowers, Hagar Elaziz founded La Fleur Bouquets in 2015 at age 26. Exquisitely packaged real roses that stay full-bloom fresh for years are the signature miracle of nature from La Fleur Bouquets.

Her innovative design and approach have made La Fleur Bouquets the leader in the flower-preservation industry. Through her continued dedication and budding foresight Elaziz has managed to build a team of passionate precision stylists that not only understand the brand but execute the La Fleur experience flawlessly. Now, Elaziz’ elegant everlasting creations have blossomed to a floral phenomenon. These luxurious works of art already have a dedicated A-list following that includes: Oprah Winfrey, Beyoncé, Elton John, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Chrissy Teigen, Jessica Alba, Adriana Lima, and many others.

Elaziz continues to fully immerse herself in this blooming industry experimenting with new colors, products, and perfecting the opulent floral experience.

Prior to launching her luxurious company Elaziz served as a television Executive Producer for nearly a decade producing hundreds of hours of non-fiction programming for networks including ABC, NBC, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, TNT and many more.

Please tell us about your art.
I reinvented how roses are gifted. When I used to see roses, I would always connect them directly to one thing: LOVE. These flowers were typically sent to a significant other and although I can appreciate that, I felt like they should really be gifted for any occasion. Roses are simply stunning flowers. How would I redefine this meaning of the rose? When I launched La Fleur Bouquets, I did not want to be another florist.

In fact, I wanted to be a leader in floral world. I repackaged roses in a white box and created a wax seal logo to give it a seal of luxury. These roses in modern and clean packaging suddenly became acceptable as a gift for any occasion. Our clients send roses for birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, holidays and every other life moment you can dream of. The association of the boxed roses was now “I love you/I am proud of you/Congratulations/I am sorry/You go girl!/etc.” rather than just “I am in love with you”. That changed the game.

I really want each recipient of a La Fleur Bouquets arrangement to have a daily reminder that they are loved. We launched our Mini rose for that particular reason. The tiniest box serves as a daily reminder that someone is thinking about you! I curated the largest preserved rose color library in the world (over 40 colors) so that everyone can find something they love because everyone is unique, just like roses!

What do you think about conditions for artists today? Has life become easier or harder for artists in recent years? What can cities like ours do to encourage and help art and artists thrive?
Never stop. I am a true believer that what you put into the world will come back to you. Pour your heart out and the people will come!

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
Our roses are available for purchase on our website www.lafleurbouquets.com. We are also available for purchase at Barneys New York (Madison), Barneys New York (Beverly Hills), and on Barneys.com.
