Meet Guy Viau

Today we’d like to introduce you to Guy Viau.

Hi Guy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have been a Headshot Photographer for actors, corporate and fashion industry for more than 20 years. I have worked with the best agencies in all of these industries. My background as a fashion photographer and model has contributed to my unique style. I have an open-shade daylight studio designed specifically to cater to headshot/fashion photography.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Fortunately, I have kept very busy doing what I love for more than 20 years. I think my preparation and organized style has been the key to my success. Word of mouth has also contributed greatly to my success. I love what I do so I think that vibe gets passed on to my clients who always feel like I’ve gone the extra mile for them which makes people feel like I care and that translates in them feeling very comfortable here.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I feel that people who choose to work with me understand that knowledge and experience matter in my line of work. I offer a lot of knowledge because of my background in fashion both from having been in front and behind the camera, so when it comes to preparation, styling, hair & makeup, body language and the direction I provide contribute to the level of confidence my clients feel when we work together. When I work with clients, they immediately notice and understand that they are in experienced hands so that’s inspiring to them.

What does success mean to you?
Being able to make a nice living doing something you love and wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.
