Today we’d like to introduce you to Guy Miracle.
Guy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I arrived in Los Angeles 25 years ago drawn to work in the entertainment industry which I did successfully for over a decade. Having first attended the University of Cincinnati’s School of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning, I went to work as a Costumer and Costume Designer in the film and television industry which I enjoyed thoroughly!
While working in the entertainment industry I learned the importance of timelines and details while being fortunate enough to work on Oscar and Emmy award-winning productions. My professional journey continued as the founding partner, creator and curator of an award-winning specialty boutique on Abbot Kinney Blvd. in Venice, California.
My transition into real estate was almost expected and fluid. My natural attraction to art and design translated into my pursuit of the residential lifestyle seamlessly. I knew that my personal and professional experiences would ultimately lead me to this profession. My ability to listen, analyze and deliver desired results while meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations is part of my basic makeup.
My clients are like family to me. I deeply care about them all and this drives me to make sure that the attention to every detail delivers results. I want them all to receive the professional representation they deserve. I love what I do and I’m grateful for my journey. It has led me to this profession and the amazing people that I’m surrounded by daily.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Fairly smooth but of course there have been some struggles along the way.
I sadly and unexpectedly lost my parents when I was 18 years old. It was a shock to my being and an incredibly challenging time in my life. I was just starting college so I had to put myself through school on my own. If it wasn’t for my family, friends, and creating art I don’t think I would have made it. I had a great experience in art school and the connections to friends and professors I made at that time are still consistent in my life today. I wouldn’t trade them for anything in this world.
I choose to always look forward and learn from life’s lessons. Dwelling on past events does not allow you to grow but keeps you stuck in those moments. I cherish my memories of my parents but not the events that took them away. My parents were fighters that never gave up. I was so incredibly lucky to have them.
Please tell us more about your work.
I work as a Real Estate Agent for Sotheby’s International Realty at the Sunset Blvd office. I am client specific which means I go where my clients need me to go. Sometimes it’s Venice or Silverlake. Sometimes it’s the Hills or Highland Park. I really do my due diligence to make sure I discover what my clients want and utilize my resources to meet their needs.
I thrive on architecture and design because of my background so my gift is to be able to visualize what a home can be if it’s not already there and to allow my clients to see the true potential of any home in any area.
My professionalism, integrity, and hard work allow me to take care of my friends/clients while treating them like family. I care for them and am fortunate enough to work in such a rewarding industry. Nothing is more gratifying than helping a first time home buyer and walking them through the process. I consider myself fortunate to be a part of such a life-changing event
I don’t have to sell Sotheby’s as a company and can just be myself and know that they stand behind me. Our reach is global and surpasses any other brokerage in the business. Our marketing and web presence is extraordinary with over 31 million views! If I have a client that is moving out of the country I can reach out to any of our brokerages in any country and know that they will be taken care of and I do the same when they reach out to me.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have bought more real estate!
All joking aside. I feel like I’m right where I’m supposed to be. I’ve had a great time getting to where I am! From starting in the entertainment industry to having my own business. It’s all led me to this path and career in real estate. If I had to do anything differently I would have done this sooner but I’ve really enjoyed each career I’ve had and each has brought me to this place in my life.
