Today we’d like to introduce you to Gregory Prestøn.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Gregory. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Tooeasylbc is an Inline-Skate video magazine focusing on the experience of our underground culture.
I started Tooeasylbc in Copenhagen Denmark oddly enough, I was sitting on the idea for a couple of years, it took losing my job at the time to finally get it going.
I’ve been skating for 15 years, and filming for ten, so content wasn’t the hard part, creating a platform that made sense that would show how sick our unique scene is and has been.
Four years later, I’m back in Long Beach bringing the company to Southern California, with its home-bases in both Copenhagen and Long Beach, Tooeasylbc is growing to become a staple in the Inline-Skate culture in both the US & Europe.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Thankfully the road has been smooth overall, the only struggles have been from making merch for the company. I try to make shirts and hats at an affordable cost but often, that goes hand in hand with bad quality prints and fits. I’ve made the mistake of pre-selling products in large quantities with a wait time for customers, only to receive far below quality products with mistakes that make the items unsellable.
One thing this experience taught me is to not jump the gun on merch, go get a sample, test it out, and make sure it lasts, you’ll thank yourself later!
Please tell us about TOOEASYLBC.
Tooeasylbc is an Inline-Skate Video Magazine focusing on the experience of our underground culture. I film/edit & photograph talent in the inline-skate community, along with art direction for the brand. What sets Tooeasy Magazine apart in the industry is the focus on unknown names and up & comers that are currently killing it on skates and have something to offer to the culture. Our industry tends to focus on the past and promote ex-pro skaters that aren’t involved in the community nor skate any longer.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Without the homies from all over wanting to be involved and supporting this wouldn’t be possible! If I didn’t have anyone in front of the cam trusting me to portray their skating in a good light, there wouldn’t be any content to create. I’m fortunate to have talented/unique skaters around me who also contribute ideas to the company and are overall solid individuals that I am constantly learning from.
